You can delete your own posts, but you do not have the power to delete the thread you created because you do not have the power to delete other peoples posts in your thread whether there are any posted or not.

Yes, you can lock the thread topic, that is, if it is your own thread you created.

lock it and if you really want it to go away move it somewhere a moderator will delete it, or just change the title to include [please delete] and pm a with someting like "please delete my topic"
