I know these faucet sites seem good to you but they are not, they are paying you fractions of a penny. I would not recommend them to any newbie since they are a complete wast of ones time. There are better ways to earn BTC and you can find it on this forum.

This is true in its current state. We said the same thing back when faucets were giving out 0.001 and 0.01 BTC per claim. Now we look at it and wish we had spent more time on them.

Any recommendations? I know signature advertisements is one way, just curious if I'm overlooking what's in front of me. Also....completely agree with you about faucets. While one day if the price jumps again they can be worth it, but a simple calculation of time spent on them and how much you can make shows a number that is not favorable

Free to play (if you have Minecraft), and you earn Bitcoins! A number of people reach the weekly payout maximum (0.02 BTC) each week too...!
I haven't tried it..! i don't have minecraft acc/ yet..! link in your sig. is of a forum i think..! how does this works The forum post that my sig links to explains it in more detail, but basically, you get paid a number of satoshis for each block depending on how long it takes to mine that particular block type. You do need to buy the game though. Free to play (if you have Minecraft), and you earn Bitcoins! A number of people reach the weekly payout maximum (0.02 BTC) each week too...!
You guys should run the free servers so people without the game can still join in. It wouldn't work - people could "log in" as whoever they wanted to steal other people's BTC. Better to have the auth guaranteed by the central Minecraft servers. Besides, I like it when people support game devs and don't pirate games.

With the amount received from faucets being so small, what is there to do with the amount you receive?
Coinbox pays you out at .00005500. Lets say you reach that amount everyday for a year...it's only 0.020075 BTCs (or $16.06). Just curious if there is anything realistic the small amount can be used for. Thanks!
The thought is that the amount will be worth more later on. For example, when BTC was a lot cheaper, there were faucets that gave entire Bitcoins. Who would have known they'd be worth what they are now? Same thing goes here. That $16.06 could very well be $16,060 someday. If you expect bitcoin price to be 1000x someday, you should buy 1 or 50 btc (depends on your budget) now instead of getting just 0.02BTC a year.

I think Gavin's original bitcoin faucet was giving out 5 bitcoins to every visitor when it first started. That might have been 2010 or 2011.

Can you please share some legit bitcoin faucet sites, or sites where I can earn bitcoins. I just want to earn some bitcoins without buying it or mining first. Thanks!
freebitco.in and coinlearn.org are the two that actually pay...

the best ptc sites are bittoclick.com and earncrypto.com. They have payed me the most. BTCclicks and coinad are good for sure, but they don't pay as well + they have captchas to solve.
