You were looking for anonymity but you didn't take security in consideration.
Not trying to be rude and I'm sorry for your loss but this is not a matter of whether the service is reputable or not and regardless of the reviews you found on the internet (I only found bad ones), you shouldn't a trust a service with your identity where they don't even give you control over your private keys.
A combination of your desktop wallet (connected through Tor), ChipMixer and a VPN should be more then sufficient to hide your identity.
