Bitcoin grew way too much, way too fast.

It wasn't healthy. It wasn't natural.

If you want organic growth, you have to get mass adoption.
Not a ton of crazy speculators going long with X10 leverage, driving stuff up.
Not an exchange printing money in the basement, (and refusing audits, etc... Who could I be thinking of. )
Not a bunch of bitconnect peeps looking to make a fast buck.

We need people buying groceries with bitcoin.
We need your union to exist as a smart contract.
We need your library to have all its content available on a blockchain.

That's how things will advance. Hopefully we'll get there.
But the clowns thinking that 1000% increases year over year are going to happen, are just crazy.

I'm not sad about it, either.
Shake the loose hands out. We don't need 'em anyway.

While I feel it is likely somebody is pulling the strings behind a curtain so to speak, it is impossible to prove such. Because of that we could theorize all day about what is happening, but realistically there are more than just one factor at play here. The media, the participants, and everything in between plays a role in how the market shifts, I doubt there is a "cartel" out there moving the needle (although if there was, I would love to hear more).

Obviously, the surge to $20K is not natural and the market went fully FOMO back then. The bear has tried many times to break $6K with no success. I would say that the bottom is in but I'm not sure because despite all the good news (LN, SEC), the market didn't move up by much and the volume keeps decreasing.

the volume has not decreased that much and that little drop was mainly because people are not sure where this is all going, they mainly wait to see what will happen before jumping back in again. for now there is a large amount of money out of the market and watching which is why at times like this when price recovers we see a huge surge upwards that is too sharp

Well even I got surprised by the sudden skyrocket of the bitcoin price but as the bitcoin price decreases until it reached the current price we have i felt somehow that it became realistic. Though the instability of price remains. Well it is disappointing for people who have bought bitcoin at higher prices

current market is at the moment down trend in phase of distribution and accumulation phase where big whales can push the panic sellers to sell their btc to accumulate more btc by big whales  example  if  suppose i am a whale i have 5000 btc i can sell at 7500$ i can bring the down price 7000$-6800$   so i can accumulate more usd  when people is feared and sell off their btc trying to go buy back at low level that time where whales enter and buy back to push the price up  panic sellers again rekt they will buy again with high price .

holding or accumulation is only good at this point of time in this current market scenario  flipping on coins is ok to get some alt's cheap  to keep for next bull run phase.

Maybe yes, there would be some organization that willing to take the risk of this system and still looking at the brighter side of it. The organization that has a strong foundations and has a positive thoughts that bitcoin are good for investment especially now because it's in a dip season. However, I believed that there are still a huge of bitcoin believer and supporters that willing to invest more of it because for sure it's movement will be change soon and perform a better one again.

I think it sucks! A steady increase in the price will help to build investor confidence and more people will invest as it goes up. The huge spike of last year, destroyed my strategy to buy low and to sell at a slightly higher price every week. I made smaller profits every week, but now the market was turned upside down and the price is doing the exact opposite of what it did last year. 

Let's hope it bottomed out now and that the trend of last year of small weekly increases will repeat it self this year.

it is not continuously decreasing. we had the big fast rise which needed the correction. the correction happened as it should have and everything was fine and market was nearly back to normal when the whales decided they are not satisfied with the profit they have gotten so far. there is no organization to manipulate but there are people with a lot of money who do it. then price started falling from then (around $10k) until now with big manipulative dumps on the market each time it reached a support line.
now we are left with a market where most of the money is out waiting for the manipulation to end so that they can come back in.
