Dethrone Bitcoin? Nope not now!

Not now, not ever. Bitcoin will always be the king of cryptocurrency, the Aplha Coin. People should know that by now.

oh yeahh bitcoin can never be dethrone by any altcoin not even ethereum. I do get the point that Ethereum is really doing great but trust me bitcoin is really going to surprise us all by the end of this year. In fact from what some crypto analysts are saying bitcoin can reach way above $1500 by the end of this year though its price is currently low.

It is not possible that bitcoin will be dethrone because bitcoin is the only dominant and one thing also that bitcoin has no competition therefore it will not dethrone. However, if there are crypto that are willing to separate the system of bitcoin and will become independent that would be the time that there is a possibility that bitcoin will be dethrone.

Alt coins is actually good for Bitcoin. Yes, I am not stoned or drunk.. let me explain. Most Alt coin investment eventually end up being converted to Bitcoin or to Fiat, because that is the only medium of exchange that are widely accepted. People use these Alt coins for speculation and for pump n dump schemes and when they want to spend it, they have to convert it back to Bitcoin or Fiat.

So, Bitcoin eventually benefit from all these Alt coins.

This is also not the only advantage of Alt coins. Some Alt coins is the breeding area for innovation and these features can be incorporated into Bitcoin, once they are tested on these Alt coins.

Bitcoin is still the king of cryptocurrency and the rest are just alternative coins. All the profits of this altcoins are just the faucet for the bitcoin to go strong. I do not really know what is the scheme for bitcoin and other altcoins but i bet that these altcoins are basing bitcoin market price movement. And that is why bitcoin could never be dethrone by other crypto but altcoins could achieve what bitcoin has achieve and i am seeing ethereum has a lot of potentials but it cannot dethrone bitcoin for now.

Altcoins is never powerful than bitcoin and i think they are not created to dethroned bitcoin but just proves that bitcoins concepts has evolve the world of technology and people started to used different kind of platforms and its usage with the use in a form of cryptocurrencies.

USDT and ETH pairs are also pretty common nowadays. I would ay USDT rate matters no less than BTC for any altcoin or token.

Bitcoin actually already won because we have the term Altcoins. And yes definitely Bitcoin will not be dethroned in a verrrrryyyy long time because there are so much infrastructures that are developed for the bitcoin ecosystem. Bitcoin is miles and miles away vs it's competitors.

I concur with that. Bitcoin already took so far as good as it was from the time it was created. Altcoins for some reason perhaps never been here to compete with bitcoin, they're working as one wherein its just between the two that makes the industry of cryptocurrency works.

in order to "dethrone" bitcoin you need to create something that is better than bitcoin when it comes to usage and then get it adopted by people so that it can actually be used in the real world instead of just being on exchanges and being traded for profit.

so far not only we don't have any adoption of altcoins but also majority of them are a lot worse than anything that can even start to compete with bitcoin which is why it will not happen for a very long time.

1. Ethereum (ETH) tried it last year around June. So called Flippening. - FAILED
2. Bitcoin Cash (BCH)last November 2017, touted as the "real Bitcoin" - FAILED
3. Ripple (XRP) - February or March this year, too decentralized - FAILED

It there's some coins that will topple bitcoin, its not yet created. Bitcoin has already gained the trust of the investors and no amount of FUD and fake news coming from different sectors or coins will simple stop Bitcoin. And I agree with @Pursuer, the only possible way to take the crown from bitcoin is that a coin that will have a real usage, but so far we haven't seen any, but shitcoins after shitcoins whose purpose is for pump-and-dump scheme.

Dethroning BTC will not be one of the eases things to do in this age and era.The coin has been experiencing one of the toughest times n the market in the recent past, losing lots of valuation in the process, but still none of the alts hv even come closer to its value when in lower end, its therefore not even possible for the take over to happen even when the coin is on the higher side

Since everything is based on trust no one has demonstrated the safety of bitcoins. It does not take much to bring trust in the alt.

Seeing the concept of bitcoin succeeding,lots of altcoins got created in the market.But unfortunately,none of them were potential enough to challenge bitcoin.So they just got satisfied in existing in the market just being valued in bitcoin.

I 100% agree. bitcoin is dominant and to so call dethrone it -would be very difficult. if a cryptocurrency would arise that would be more popular more efficient and better known then yes, but will that happen? not in the near future.

There are some attempt to dethrone or overtake bitcoin in the past but they are all failed miserably. Many coins are created with innovative technology features, more advance than bitcoin but they are still miles away from bitcoin's price and market capitalization. Bitcoin will continue to be the leader of the cryptocurrencies for many to come unless there is a massive swing of support for other coin in the future.

All i can see is that people are just using altcoins to gain more bitcoins. Most altcoins have actually no use other than that and that's the reality.

It will actually never happen. Bitcoin has taken good lead in last few years and it is the face of crypto now.
