Hey, I just got into the mining game and came here for some advice. I'm part of bitminer and contribute about 0.4Ghps, so as you can see am not to worried about profit, and consider myself very casual. I'm running 2 xfire'd 6790's oc'd to 920/1120 Mhz. I'm curious to know if these numbers add up right, and if I am harnessing all the power of my GPU's. Also, would it be beneficial to invest in USB errupters to boost my hash rate, or are there any other viable solutions? A new graphics card set up could also be an option, but I'm not sure how much gain in hash rate I would get. Any feed back is greatly appreciated!

there is is something wrong here!
first thing, you are mining btc?
wtf??? there is no point mining btc with gpu-s for the last six months!
mine ltc or doge or some other scrypt coin!
you should get around 230kh/s from each gpu so total 450kh/s so there is something missing in your settings.
and for fuck sake use cgminer for mining.
lots of "work rejected" there! wtf?

forget about block erupters, they don't worth anything!

How would I increase my hash rate then? Would it be under my workers settings? Like this:

I tried using cgminer but there it doesn't seem to register my GPU's as devices. Any suggestions? (Thanks for the feedback!)

dude, cgminer 3.7.2 or lower.

also mine some ltc like here wemineltc.com
or even more profitable dogecoin like here https://doge.hashfaster.com/

let me know if you need step by step guide, i'm watching you here...

So I got 3.7.2, made an account on the site you provide, and have started mining. I am still however not getting 200+ kh/s on either of my cards! What appears to be the issue?

Thanks for the help!

add this to your command line

-I 18,18 -g 1,1 -w 256,256 --thread-concurrency 4032,4032

let me know about hashrate

Could you give me an example in cmd? I've tried various ways to type it in but can't seem to make it work.

any error message??

did you try to run my command in cmd?
I can't see what is wrong with config file.

also try to leave only single numbers in command
-I 18 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 4032

This is the message I am getting in cgminer

https://i.imgur.com/KhGaez9.png

The red is the stuff that when deleted, it works properly. Is there anyway to edit the thread concurrency in cgminer? I can edit the intensity, and since then have been able to achieve ~200khps, although my computer gets super laggy when it happens.

try this.
remove config file for now.
copy cgiminer folder to desktop
hit Start button, Type CMD and hit enter.
in CMD type: cd desktop
type: cd cgminerfolder
copy/paste command and change pool addres, workers name and worker pass:
cgminer -o pooladdress -u workername -p worker pass -I 18 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 4032

also you can change -I in command as you wish.

That worked! Is there a way to enter that in my config file so it does this everytime? And is it really worth mining bitcoin over dogecoin even if i use cgminer and am getting like ~400khps? and THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP!

in cgminer window while mining just hit S and then W and it will create config file for you!
next time just double click cgminer.exe and it will read settings from config file.

it's much profitable than mining btc directly since diff is sky high long time ago.

by mining doge with 400kh you can earn around $5/day and exchange it for btc!
it's not big sack of money but it is something considering your hashing power.

glad I helped.
if you need anything else just hit me up!
good luck bro.

Also, get rid of the crossfire and you *MAY* increase your hashrate a little.

So I deactivated xfire and now my khps has been replaced with mhps. Also my intensity limit has decreased from 18 to 14. Is this a change for the good or should I set my xfire back up?
