it's blockcount%144 which will occur approximately every 24 hours.

...also i put in the meta refresh for now. until i get around to doing it with ajax.

To add more fun, can you also add something like a date somewhere on the page? ( years / monthes  / days, with the same logic )
Block 1 will be the start of year Zero.

Then we will be able to make also the Bitcoin calendar!
It will be the first dynamic calendar

But how will you count time in the calendar? How many days a week, how many in a month, months in a year etc? I mean, what do you propose?

I propose we rewrite the caldender no more days years or months.
I dont have anything as far a measurment units but i think we should come up with a calander that has units of measurements that is convient for the global population.
None of this some times feburary is longer every 4 years crap or alternating month lengths scince it should be static, constant and convientent.

i never have taken notice before, but with this clock as a visual, i notice the second hand seems 2 or 3 hours late for it's current position.

are there any other sites that graphs "blocks found per day"? somewhere i can go to easily read how many blocks were found in the last 24 hours? (because i'm sure it was less than 144).

Somewhat related I found the concept of SI time to be interesting in the novel "a deepness in the sky".

1 sec = 1 sec
1 kilo second = ~16 sol minutes
1 mega second = ~11 sol days
1 giga second = ~31 sol years.

For a community which spends 90% of its time in space the need to have time units correspond to the movements of a star they haven't even seen is no long relevent.  SI time units make sense. 

Very short units of time are measured in seconds (it will be ready in 148 seconds).
Medium units of time are measured in kilo seconds (standard work shift is 28.8 ks).
Long units of time are measured in mega seconds (prepping the convoy for extra star system travel will take at least 3 maybe 4 Ms).
Extremely long units of time are measured in giga seconds (the average life expectancy for a homo-spaien is 2.3 Gs).

Thats right folk you probably aren't going to live for more than 2.3 billion seconds. 

I doubt method of time keeping will change unless our environment changes (living on other planets or in space).
