Nah, it is just some FUD if the price goes down. No reson to go down, as they already have declared to cover the 30m "loss" with their funds,, so nothing really changed Ps. Bithumb shoul have paid 28 millions in taxes.. weird that they were hacked of 30m lol

The price of bitcoin has been falling lately and It is quite unfortune that these kind of attacks also affect the price of bitcoin. The exchanges need to strengthen their cyber security to reduce such attacks in the near future.

I don't think such news affect the price anymore. I guess people have gotten used to hacks and thefts. And that's a good thing.

If people keep creating tempting targets for thieves by amassing their combined wealth in one, big easy-to-steal pile, then duh, of course people are going to keep stealing it. It's not a difficult concept to grasp. I honestly don't know how people haven't worked this out yet. The more money sitting there, the more motivated someone will be to try and break in. Stop leaving funds on exchanges and the problem goes away.
Bitcoin wasn't designed for people to (ab)use it in this way. You're supposed to be the sender, the person you're paying is supposed to be the recipient. And that's it. There shouldn't even be a third party custodian in the middle getting hacked and losing funds. You're doing it wrong.

The bitcoin price I think as of now are increasing and I don't think bithump incident will result for the fall again minimal fall it made but not enough to fall under 6,000 usd. We all now bithump is running a years already and 30m usd can cover the earning and its too little for them. No worries who are using bithump since they already stated that they will cover all the looses and hopefully this will not happen again and in any other exchange sites. Put invest on the security is the best way.

I don’t follow Bitcoin news using media like CNN, CNBC,...etc. Also, that platform is not so famous, so I do not expect to have a significant impact on the price. In the past, the market was limited so that any hack would have a big bang on the price and less confidence in the Bitcoin. Current, Bitcoin has become less reliant on a single platform because of the multiplicity of platforms and ways of getting/spending bitcoins

I am spending my holiday in the village. But yesterday when I saw that news on my chrome headlines, I was shocked! Exchange hacking are always bad news in the cryptocurrency market. Maybe we can see a price dump for a while, Because Bitcoin price is already down and bithum hacks may attacks on bitcoin for a short time. But, this is another lesson for everyone who holds their coin on Exchange.

What is curious is that it has been hacked for $30 million 2 weeks after it was announced that it faces a tax bill of $28 million: https://www.coindesk.com/crypto-exchange-bithumb-hit-with-bill-after-tax-investigation-ends/amp/ A bit suspicious to me.

As we're seeing this recent hack didn't affect the bitcoin price a 0.01%.. On the other hand bitcoin has gone up 2% even after the hacking news. And also we've seen the news that bitthumb will cover the fund from their own. That means users has nothing to fud about. So the hack isn't affecting bitcoin That's the truth..

Another hacking incidents that will be used on same propaganda to lower the prices more.. Is it ironic when their no such direct hit on your investment,, but because of the uncertainty and fear of the people spreading the news then dumping started.. I’m not saying that this kind of information and news must be hidden or whatsoever,, all want them to do is to see to it that all positive actions taken by the team of bithumb be included..

As there is bad news circulating about bitcoin, people will start selling bitcoin due to Fear Of Losing Out and therefore price will drop.

Come on guys stop it! Its very tiny amount to get stolen from the exhancger like that and Bithumb is already on it to fulfil the bag of 30 million dollar that was stolen out from it. This means everything will be balanced back to where it was and it wont affect the market at all. Do you guys know that the trading volume is far greater than 30 million for BTC alone and thus it would be almost impossible for the market to dump itself like that. So just relax and be assured that we are on the verge of bull run already.

as you can see the price has not dropped at all because of this news which means there is no reason for it to drop anymore. i think we have literary hit rock bottom with bitcoin price and there is no more dump left in anyone to push the price down and cause any panic even with this huge negative news!!!

I don't see any affection in the market.I think people are more strong handed than before. As they had seen many attacks from which bitcoin was recovered again. so the also knows btc will recover this attack too

Well, the last hack, I guess it was the last week, affected the price, so I doubt that this one is going to be an except. Hacking becoming regular as I see and add to that exchangers ask from us KYC info, with such temps our private information can easily appear in wrong hands.
