Yes, you heard me right!
This market will evolve into 2 markets!
In addition, many lawsuits will evolve regarding many coins!
The SEC is a ticking timebomb that will have a devestating impact on this industry in the short term!
Opinion but I have strong convictions that it will play out this way!

If this happens we can get darkweb for ICOs. I think in this case playing in the casino will have more chance to get profit than ICO participation. I wait how it will be changed. But while nothing

Right now it is like playing with FIRE!
I just read that EOS is most probably a security!
If so the coin will be worth shit. Also they have many technical and governance issues!
I use EOS as an example but there is a long list!

There are indeed many centralized "cryptocurrency" which goes against the very core of the crypto ideals.  I call these "compromise coins" because they are (sadly) likely the ones that government, banks, or powers that be -- will support (because they can control/monitor them).

The big question is should we...compromise or not?

Perhaps you're right because we know nothing about what is SEC up to. Even the 'head of crypto resistance', John McAfee (who usually does and say what he wants to), could not resist the threats of SEC and stopped offering his ICO promotion services.

Who will participate in dark ICOs? if you will be scammed by those ICOs then you can't do anything as you choose the wrong way, most of them would be scam ICOs.

I think in the long term it will prove to be good for the market, i hope SEC just registers more and more crypto projects, ideal scenario will be if it registers top 50 this year and 100 more next year, this will just create massive waves of legitimacy and other financial markets will also get attracted to crypto.

Do you think it could happen that SEC will ban currencies like XMR or similar? I mean that could have a reasonable interested in forcing exchanges to do so.

This is why decentralization will not exist in the long run because of this. Now all centralized cryptocurrencies are able to survive. While decentralized cryptocurrencies are in danger. Anyway, a lot of scam coins specially are from ICOs. I think it's a right thing to do to protect every investor from being scammed by them. Every ICO must be a compliant of SEC's regulations in able for them to operate freely and to market their products. Some people rely on darkweb exchanges which are way more risky tgan regulated exchanges. I think people will force to embrace new changes at this new regulations which SEC wants to happen.

SEC or check is an unconditional statement of account in the form of an account holder's account, which orders the bank to deduct from its account to pay the person named in the split market check

may be my question is whether the SEC can make the crypto market better? is it more transparent? I fear they will be worse in the management of the market, what if they themselves manipulate and market monopoly?

SEC compliant will mean if a coin is a security it can’t be purchased by retail investors.

I don't see the situation that serious and that clear. SEC compliance concerns US projects or project that intend to sell their tokens in US. There might evolve more groups of ICO's, not just SEC compliant vs. SEC non-compliant. There are ICO's that succeeded in raising money without even going for US investors.

The whole market is constantly under threatened. This is the adoption at the state level and the frequent  bear markets, and what do we face fraudulent actions. Yes, and virtually all new coins are primarily struggling with centralization to become the best and most importantly their its on this market.

The SEC has declared that cryptocurrencies are not securities, so you don't have to worry about it!

The SEC can only regulate in America, but not as in Europe or Asia. Therefore, this organization can not harm the entire ICO. You shouldn't pay attention to it. We need to think positively and with the prospect of the future.

i honestly don't see anything devastating about SEC though.

sadly we have proven that we can not get rid of the scams in this market on our own. we created ICOs and made them big  on our own and couldn't handle them to prevent the scams. so we need someone else from outside like SEC and in other countries their law enforcements equivalent to SEC in US to come in and clean it up for us.

the lawsuits are good. the arrests that will happen will also be good. all the regulations and the restrictions that will be put on this market are going to be good because they will eliminate or at least reduce to nearly nothing all the ICO scams and shitcoins.
