Hello!

I have a bitminer that I have done water cooling on and used the fan without blades to emulate that the fan is Ok to the board and also edited the fan control speed to much lover then normal.

But with the new firmware from bitmain the software picks up this edit and resets the fan to full throttle as soon as it get a little hot.  Roll Eyes

Not only this but it now shuts down after reaching a chip temp off only 80 Celsius! Undecided

PLUS that the hash rate is no longer automatic (627) as it used to but 600 / 650 to choose from?!
I know there is an Auto frequency firmware but that won’t even start running.

I can’t find the old firmware any ware on the internet so my thought is to go with an external created firmware were i can edit this parameters?

What are your thoughts on my problem? Know where to find the original firmware or a good external one?

Thanks in advance for any help!  Grin

@OP, is there a specific version of the firmware you need (I'll try and track it down).

Some versions of the firmware can be found here: https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm

If you go to minerConfiguration.cgi and then in your browser's URL bar change minerConfiguration.cgi to minerAdvanced.cgi you can see many more frequency options for the fixed frequency bmminer.

Ignore scammers on Skype, Telegram, etc. I will only ever contact you via forum PMs. See profile for fingerprint.

I heard that the new firmware are worst and November firmware can solve this issues but there is other way for editing fan speed and frequency of your s9 miner without flashing it to other firmware and there are many methods to adjust your own frequency and fan speed.

Here are some links that you can follow to adjust the frequency and fan speed to your own setup.
