Hello everyone,

Im a very new miner, just testing the waters with my single GPU, sapphire 7950 Dual X OC edition.

So the thing why im here is, when i started mining yesterday, i setup the intensity to 20. which gave me around 608kh/s. i ran it for about 8 hours, but my shares in the pool were hardly raising.

Later today, i set the intensity to 12 which gave about 270khs, and my shares in the pool were raising faster than while i mined at 600khs.

As i have learnt in basics of mining, it says more hashrate = more shares = morecoins.
but the opposite is happening with me.

Can someone please tell me why is this so?

Because hash=/=WU which WU is work unit I think and that is actually what your turning in to the pool .

I find that with my cards also if I set the I high, I may get faster hash but the WU suffers.
