I don't know he should tag or not. As well as he have good rank. But it's really not good practise. Other people will do same thing and spam and merit abuse. I know no one will give him merit if see his sign.

That is kind of low for a full member. I have seen some newbies with a lot of activities but no merits, they still are not begging for merit

I wouldn't tag him, or anyone that asks for merit in their signature.  People advertise scams all the time in their signatures.

Eventually, users will just tune out that begging.

This definitely doesn't deserve tagging.  Theymos initially made a statement to the effect that we shouldn't worry about anything except "excessive merit begging" or something, and what this guy is doing isn't in that ballpark.  Things like making threads whining about not getting merits and asking for them and sending PMs straight-out begging for them are closer to "excessive" when done repeatedly.

I've tagged people who've sent me PMs asking for merits, and I know other members have too.  Just having that little statement in his signature is a minor transgression if you could even call it that.
just like when I asked for help from marlboroza and instead he tagged me. please don't tag people if they ask you to review their post history to find meritable posts to merit. some people don't know English well and they might be confusing.
Well you're a troll.

And no, the PMs I got were along the line of "Sir can you plz send me merits?", and I'm sure whoever it was had sent the PM out in bulk.  I've only tagged a handful of merit abusers, and those cases were fairly obvious.  I've said before that I'm not actively handing out red trust for merit abuse cases.

I was once asked for merit from a jr member but I didn't tag them even though they were asking for some merit just to rank up, instead I provided them with some links and guides on how to properly earn them.

Did anyone see the big gap between the Posts and the Activity count? That's too huge for the number of merits he has.  Who knows whether he's been spamming (🤔 1842 posts and 104 merits).  Don't know for sure.  But that's my opinion.
