You can tell some trolls have a heated opinion of solidcoin, you have to wonder why they waste so much time attacking it. Think people who attack other chains due to hurt feelings have your wallet in mind?
ThomasV no one is forcing you to mine solidcoin and you can put coinhunter on ignore and quit telling us how much you hate solidcoin. Why not ignore?
and no one forced you to lose money, I did nothing but gain money. I did have a few coins on mooncoin when it went bust and coinhunter is HELPING ME get them back. Did galvin get the guys coins back who lost 25k to hackers? did they get peoples coins back who lost them at mybitcoin? how about the bitomat loss? Nope? well at least they are going to give back the BTC lost by people who had BTC at mooncoin?
NOPE.. odd
Is Bitcoin a centralized currency such that Gavin calls all the shots and can rewrite the chain / dispense BTC as he pleases? I think not. Precisely the reason to stay far away from SC/CH. +1 joulesbeef, you are pretty misguided to think that what CoinHunter is doing with SC 2.0 is the right thing for a decentralized currency. Why does he have the power to shutdown the currency? Why does he get to decide who's solidcoins get transferred to the SC 2.0 and who's doesn't? Sure mooncoin might be a scam, but why does CoinHunter get to be judge, jury, and executioner? What's more ridiculous is he posted on the solidcoin forums asking people for deposit address that they used for mooncoin. So does he plan to revert those deposits just based on one person's claim? What if I sent you a ton of solidcoins (to buy something) and then posted that deposit address on that forum post? CoinHunter would have no idea that the deposit address belongs to mooncoin or not. If he reverts that transaction in SC 2.0, I just double spent those coins. Will he then fix that in SC 3.0? This whole thing is ridiculous.

Anybody with a botnet certainly should support it.
Best part is that the botnets ought to drive the difficulty high enough that it won't be profitable for legal people.

Given that viable botnets wont be running "thread per every core at 99% cpu load each", I doubt that. (Those that will will get stamped out quickly due to users going LOLWTF IS THAT? very quick) There was at least one suspect botnet herder asking me about TBX in the tbx chan, btw

Actually, botnets leave bitcoin alone and go here (making it easier for Gavin to establish bitcoin as a fair and law-abiding not-really-money-but-kinda-like-something-like-that payment thingie) Except when they have GPU-machines, then they stick with BTC
