When GRC makes it to the top 10 BOINC contributors, it will get a lot of media attention and influx of new miners.

Is there progress regarding a listing on bittrex?

i have seen that every useless coin is listed there but Gridcoin isn't...what a joke

Well put, look @ Bittrex now. Only new coins for a profit, then they delist them a week later. Would have to say the exchanges in the past that took of with everyones coins/money, were scams behind our back & Bittrex is SCAMMING everyone right in front of us Knowing for sure that they are creating a % of all the new coins launching everyday (controlling bots on the exchange, as well as letting people trade with them self to gain volume & PnD), greed & more greed will catch up with them sooner or later!

Bittrex is chasing the quick buck. No care for the future. No care for cryptocurrencies. Once they have squeezed every penny out of the altcoin scene, they will disappear into the sunset leaving cryptoland a wasteland. 

They could vindicate themselves by showcasing Gridcoin(and several others) for what it does and trying to take some moral high ground for a change.

Desktop computers help in distributed tasks that progress science at Universities (e.g. protein folding). No special mining equipment is needed, computing tasks are too general for ASICs, so the currency stays decentralized!
By introducing Proof-of-Research, we are able to direct nearly all of the available processing power to advance science. Only a small overhead is necessary to secure network logistics. Once PoR is released, and the wallet is out, it should be no problem. GRC has already proven itself and the concept is great.
