Many games already use crypto for payment methods. but I see more crypto used on gambling sites. especially now with the world cup and football team bets.

Do you know any game which actually uses cryptocurrency? I saw a lot of coins which promise this, but usually It ends up in being scams.

Games are for fun, but It would be more satisfying to have a valuable currency for games.
Cryptokitties, nexium and i heard it has been listed on the steam store. I never heard any other existing platform. In my experience i'm only paying SDK games to tested the blockchain. Honestly to make the crypto will be used in the game looks so difficult because it can be considered as dapps platform.

Just fyi, being listed on Steam only require a listing fee, there is no actual requirement for it. So basically getting listed on steam store isn't something to be proud of.

I have seen also many cryptocurrency that is based in gaming. There is an ICO that was launched just months ago and they were successful. The ICO I am saying is Playkey. They are already listed in some exchanges including HitBTC and Playkey (PKT) is already listed in CoinMarketCap. The Playkey team is in constant work in implementing the usage of their token into their gaming platform. This is a great project IMHO.

I saw a lot of crypto projects that were planned to work in the gaming sector, but many of these projects failed. I am not very interested in the field of play, but I am sure that there are honest and good projects on the market that work successfully in this area.

The most famous project which is a cryptocurrency and is also very closely related to games in Electroneum. Electroneum is a coin one can mine of one's mobile phone by playing games. When it started as an ICO people were really excited, but after it was released there were some issues with the game and people became less interested. However, I believe it is still possible to play and mine.
Another thing that comes to my mind is tons of casinos which accept payment in top coin or are even built on ethereum platform (they use smart contracts to prove they are scam-free), like Vdice.

I think there's only gambling site and other ponzi scheme that accept crypto right now, we've seen some ico about esport and gaming but so far there's nothing that has delivered product. You can expect game to accept crypto though as rmt usually kill the game, it's different if they use it as an alternative to buy the game or lootbox.

In my experience,, yes there's a game using crypto but through mobile,  it was like Super Mario which is you can earn crypto by killing enemies lol , there's a minimun withdrawal as well i think (.02 mbtc ),, but i don't remember the name of app,  'cause i decided to uninstall the app immediately because after playing i realized it was a wasting time and not really sure if it's legit.   Lol

I'm playing a EtherGoo, as the developers say "fun gameplay, secured in a smart contract". You can earn ETH by playing.

Gaming industry is growing from day to day and cryptocurrency will be a payment option in games in the upcoming years, in my opinion.

There are so many competitive games in gaming area. Maybe someone will organize tournaments with cryptocurrency prizes. I believe cryptocurrency is great alternative in gaming industry for tournaments, leagues, etc...

Many games are using cryptocurrencies because it makes perfect sense. One of the coins that is trying the market is Flipcoin and that will show up in 2019.

I haven't heard about such a games, but I think that developers will work in such a way in few years. You know that Pornhub is working even with alts (TRX and so on).

Oh, so all the companies are just paying a ... rent to a Steam and nothing more?
