Im aware that Apple products started an issue but everyone says that we shouldn't see an issue from it.   So can anyone help explain the reason my bitcoin ticker alarm keeps going off due to decently extreme drops...thanks

Due to MTGox restricting the flow of trade. Also Apple blocking the famous app does not help the issue.

Solution: Dump iOS.. for MtGOX that is not an easy solution we need more exchanges.

The apple portion I know but im assuming once that new undeniable app gets created there would be a panic.  But I wasnt aware of Mt Gox restrictions.   Whats that about?  I hear Mt Gox is thought to be messing with the inflation and not to be the most trusted exchange anyway.

Does anyone have a prediction as to what will happen and when.  Whether it's deflation or inflation?  Any predictions or advice will help.  Thanks.

I got some im holding onto from mining when it was 109 and then some purchases between 750 and 810.

This is the BEST time to buy BTC, and most of the Altcoins. Grin

Once BTC gets around $700, people will start buying again, and then we'll all have stiff necks, from looking up at the price. Cheesy

My (uneducated) guess is Gox. issues, uncertainty over china, apple ban (minor).  Also there was some kind of statement in Russia that no one seems to be talking about...I read that it was an actual ban on Bitcoin, but I've not seen it corroborated.

I saw $730 briefly, now it's back up mid $740's.  I don't have cashflow to buy in right now so I'm a little frustrated watching this opportunity slip by.  Angry

I really dont think apple removing blockchain.info from the app store had that big of an effect on the market. The growing frustrations with money being stuck on Gox definitely has had some effect on things though.

What is the deal with Gox?  I havn't seen this article...and yea I saw the deal with Russia.  Apparently they aren't allowing it at all?  Is that confirmed or speculation as of now?

Sometimes there isn't any one particular reason.

It may help to look at the market price as really only a measure of confidence in something. A lot of folks lost confidence today. Not that many though. Not a big deal.

Thanks!  So no thoughts or speculation on what the price will go to and/or at what time.  Or are we going to still see a drop?

Unfortunately no one has the crystal ball to give you an exact answer on that one

Read this: http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/973146

I think, the blockchain.info app will soon reappear in the app store in a revamped iOS 7 version!

Aside from Apple removing blockchain app, there's also the ban of anything related to bitcoin on paypal, ebay, etc as well.

When did the ban happen on paypal and ebay?  I thought they just stated them as competitors?  And paypals CEO is invested and has stated the potential of being able to accept bitcoin in the future into paypal....

When did the ban happen on paypal and ebay?

Unofficially, bitcoins were always being "banned" on ebay/paypal.
Not really "banned", but simply the scammers could get a chargeback extremely easy
If you receive a payment on paypal for bitcoins, the other person could say he never received your "goods". No matter how you explain or show the blockchain, paypal is biased and will give money back to the scammer...

I can't see why Apple removing the blockchain app would have this much of a negative effect on the price.

May become involved in "financing of terrorism" ... this sounds like Russia is taking a page out of the Obama administration play book.  Add an element of fear so that people are scared to even use BTC.  Clearly when you see governments over reaching their bounds and banning BTC/scaring people from using it, it proves they are afraid of it taking power away from them.

Does anyone have a prediction as to what will happen and when.  Whether it's deflation or inflation?  Any predictions or advice will help.  Thanks.

I'm predicting that we will continue to see inflation at the rate of 25 bitcoins approximately every 9-10 minutes for the next 3 years.  After all, it's written into the algorithm!

As for the price, that will depend mostly on demand, which depends on investor sentiment, which depends on garbled and biased articles in the media, which are a lot harder to predict.

Tips much appreciated! 1PPJHDawPvjh6MEzsvXrMYLgpLmyAaNXUc

Reason for the drop? People panic selling. Always the case.

Eventually we will get to a point where there are enough buyers waiting for panic sales that it will keep everything much more stable
