Time to stop using Bitcoin as a form of investment and start using it as payment

Yes, I agree with you that it is necessary that people use bitcoin less as a means of accumulating value and more as a means of payment. But now nobody will hear your calls. Everything will be the same as before. Bitcoin will again grow in price and because of bad news and at the same time the manifestation of volatility will necessarily panic, after which bitcoin will drop to very low price values. This will be repeated many times until people are convinced on their own experience that if you keep bitcoin for a long time, it leads to losses. Only then will they stop using bitcoin more as a means of accumulating value. Until they fill themselves with cones on their heads, nothing will happen until then. So far, most of your calls will not be heard. Believe me, there is simply no other way, except for the usual long way through a multiple fall in price.

Why stop at investing when we can do both? I would want to use bitcoin as a form of payment. Its just that very few merchants accept cryptocurrency. At least, for now. Just have to wait a little longer.

Bitcoin wasn't created to make us rich over night but was created so we could have control over our money and not the bankers. It was created so we could be free, so there won't be any borders telling us we are different from them so we can't trade with them. To be united, but all I see are people only talking about how much profit they've made, not about how it can help people that don't have access to banks(they do but it's a minority).

We live in a society where we take everything for granted, just like we've taken Bitcoin for granted. We don't deserve it. The ones that deserve it don't have access to it.

At the end of the day we become savages and only think about the profit not the good that it can do for us, instead of making us rich.

Your right. But we cant force others to think the same way that you do.  People by nature would seek ways to profit and many would always think of bitcoin as an investment because that is the only way they understood it to be and because right now there are still many boarders that needs to be broken by any cryptocurrency theres: ignorance, acceptance in big an small industries or countries, proper knowledge and proper way to use bitcoin and so many other more to mention.

That is a better way of using Bitcoin for all of us, and it would be good if most of the users listened, but only few actually will. Bitcoin IS amazing as a currency/payment method. The possibility and emergence of decentralized online marketplaces proved that point for me. Nowadays you can buy or sell everything freely, p2p, anonymously and safe on platform like OpenBazaar (https://openbazaar.org/), which allow global trade of goods and services with no middleman or fees. Personally, I prefer shopping there lately to both amazon&ebay, because of the convenience, ease, security, lack of censorship and simply for the sake of free trade and crypto evolution. This reflects my personal stance on this matter, unlike ebay\amazon\etc user policies and practices.
Those who think of bitcoin only as a mean of investment, are missing the whole picture, IMO.

Mainstream main usage of Bitcoin as an assets to generate income due to its volatility. But bitcoin price is very expensive on the market, peoples use it for investment.
it will be great if bitcoin used as currency to pay something than used as an investment to hold.
But first, the volatility of bitcoin is the obstacle to become a firm currency.

This process is already underway, although it may not be as active as we would like. I would also like to see the bitcoin mission as using as a method of payment for all transactions and freedom from state control. But while many people have a thirst for short-term profit prevails.

the price of bitcoin can still adjust to the price of usd , that simply means you arent loosing anything but you can loose if you use your bitcoin in a form of asset because the value can somehow drop if ever you but and invest bitcoin starting from a high or mid price though , there is still  a chance that you can  recover it and possibly make a profit as long as you have a patience to wait.

in my own honest opinion , i think bitcoin is only suitable as an investment and not a currency because the transaction works verry slow plus it also cost more in terms of tansaction fees.

Easy for you to say to use bitcoin as a currency, what if you love in a country wherein they do not have or offer bitcoin as a payment how would you use it as a currency in the first place. But remember also that bitcoin also design as an asset or an investment perhaps there are only a little of numbers of merchants that accepted bitcoin as a form of payment, a large volume of bitcoin circulated is in exchange.

Not everyone who buys bitcoin thinks of doing HODL and pumping, a lot of people buy bitcoin for them to spend in cyberspace. Like gold lovers, not all gold buyers make an investment to make a profit. They also buy so they can enjoy their beauty, even some of them are willing to lose a lot of money even though they have to buy at a high price.
