What I'm pretty certain about the value of btc by next year that it won't go down below $10k. Rough estimation after bitcoin halving will be around $20k - $25k. We can't really predict but we just mainly hope that those predictions that we have in mind will be realized for us to enjoy the profits. Always diversify your portfolio and invest only an amount that you can afford to lose.

If you are trading bitcoin then I do not understand why you keep your coins. What's the point of buying coins if you have a stock? It seems to me that it is impossible to trade coins and keep stock on long-term storage. This is a completely different way of earning. I do not agree with the wording of investing in bitcoin.

for instance if the manipulation continues and it forces the traders who got out to stay out then we will have a much longer down time with more drops and less profit for everyone including those shorting bitcoin. and eventually the price in 2019 can not be that high either and it will take a much longer time for that money that got out to come back in and recovery to take place.

The next halving is in 2020 if im not mistaken, so we are going to see a new ATH during 2019 most likely, and the bull market will continue towards the next halving. It's obviously accumulation season. Yes, institutional investors are in right now, and markets are more mature, but I just don't think that we'll see much bullish activity in 2019 at all. It's just not enough time for consolidation, imo. We haven't even found the bottom of this bear market yet.

I think that the bear market will at least last until the end of this year before some form of recovery comes. However, based on the previous bear market data, it's more probable that it'll take around 1 year or so from this point on before bitcoin is able to truly bottom (just take a look at the graphs for 2014-2015 bear market).

Hence, it's unlikely for me to see bitcoin over $20k in 2019.
