If you havent heard yet here ya go!

All you need is a Dwolla account and you must send the text message from the phone number associated with your Dwolla account.

The text can be any message at all you want to tell the folks at Dwolla.

Send the text to: 5156504583

You will see the $1 deposited into your Dwolla account instantly.

nothings in it for me. I was just passing this on to the community because I thought it was cool. Its a promotion Dwolla is doing to promote their new service it has nothing to do with me.

I did it, and it worked. But remember you have to have a dwolla account and you have to have the number your texting from associated with your dwolla account.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I don't think it's so much a scam - it looks more like a creative way for Dwolla to get you to add your mobile number to your account so they can spam you later by text.

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.
