Everyone who has adopted bitcoin is already thinking different. Thinking Different has gone decentralized and viral, and we are still just off the starting line…

Although not a friend of apple politics myself, you have to read this to understand the situation:

I think, the blockchain.info app will be back soon in a iOS 7 version!

Hmm, perhaps, but then they could have just said that was the reason for pulling it, rather than a vague no-answer reason.

and I really think Steve is not rolling at all. I think this is exactly the Apple that Steve brought on us. Charismatic as he was, he shunned anything that he couldnt control.

I want to hope that there any forces left in Apple that see the error of this path and can influence a change in direction. I dont see anything to give me that hope, though.

Maybe he would have seen the part he could control though- Apple's interface with btc, and run with it.

The 1984 ad and the "Here's to the Crazy Ones blabla" were just that.. ads, marketing.

This is not the whole story. Apple does not allow apps that can send/receive BTC. The blockchain app was the only exception. But that had not been updated since July 2012 ((i think it was a question of letting sleeping dogs lie).

The OP is stupid.... Steve Jobs is an actor.... there is no such philosophy "think different" hence we have the term "jail-break" among Iphone users.

And i'm glad he paid for this. Hes now hanging out with Santa.

I admit we should have petioned Steve Jobs before his death but apple is going back to where it was without Steve
AKA obscurity
The thing is that it will take a lot longer this time around due to the empire that was built for the execs to crash burn it to oblivion lol

Apple hasn't been the "think different" company for a long time ( ever? ).  Not sure why people are so surprised by this.  They're a corporation just like all others, the objective is to make money.  Everything else they tell you is marketing and no more.  If you like they're products then buy and use them, else go somewhere else, there are a lot of alternatives.  Just don't think they love or care about you, you're a customer.  They pulled this and other apps because it won't make them money, no more no less.

I agree. In his early (and alive) days I think Jobs would have embraced Bitcoin.

Apple marketing works. They made you all think they're innovators and leaders in technology.

Anyone brainwashed by the Apple marketing had a right to think that Apple would be Bitcoin friendly.

Well, they're not. If you stop consuming their products now, they win.

Many people are weak minded and easily brainwashed.   I've always found Apple's marketing absurd and insulting, by my IQ is in the triple digits too..
