Russia didn't ban it only warned against it.

The damn IRS accepts bitcoin so that link from months ago about the US was complete crap.

Huobi has a huge market and the Chinese are still driving the price.

Apple likes control so who is really shocked there.

Gox has been in the shitter for a while, so this is nothing new either.

India is far to overpopulated and unregulated for anything to hold as gospel in that country.

So just another typical day in the crypto world SNAFU

Lol a few of those links are a little old. No need to do a chicken little.  Probably just the usual panic merchant drop after some negative press before another push back up to $1000 again. Man I'm glad I don't trade on Gox anymore, so dodgy the way they hold up withdrawals and deposits to suit themselves without any regard for the customer.

Go DGC! Wink

And the mining difficulty is going up every hour... making it almost IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE PROFIT by mining.

Difficulty re-targets every 2016 blocks, not "every hour".

In fact additional hash power added onto the network at a certain difficulty actually increases your revenue per unit time, up until the next retarget, if you're pool mining, because the average number of blocks awarded per unit time increases.

We probably need to just start from scratch. Go back to some double digits and go from there.
Things indeed do not look good for Bitcoin altogether at all.
To tell you the truth, seeing all this happening and getting some "soberness" of the reality, all those Reddit posts about this and that starting accepting Bitcoins, are beginning to be kind of annoying. As if these people are just restlessly trying to pump rapidly deflating, previously overblown balloon.

And on the flip side.

Major retailers have started accepting bitcoin as a form of payment
Overstock Accept Bitcoin
Tigerdirect acceot bitcoin
Scan accept Bitcoin

Major app developer Zynga accept Bitcoin as payment
Malware Bytes one of worlds biggest anti Malware accept Bitcoin

University of Cumbria, major UK university now accepts Bitcoin as payment for course fees

Coinpunk already have workaround for Apple ban

Indonesia reverses its ban
http://www.coindesk.com/indonesia-central-bank-takes-new-more-neutral-stance-bitcoin/

You can buy bitcoin for cash at 28,000 yes 28,000 shops in UK
http://www.coindesk.com/can-now-pay-cash-bitcoin-28000-uk-stores/

500 Bitcoin ATM in rollout worldwide

Real time Bitcoin price tags now in stores
http://www.coindesk.com/bittag-real-time-bitcoin-pricing-retail/

Ebay opening Virtual currency catagory so you can sell and buy bitcoins
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57617502-93/ebay-to-allow-bitcoin-sales-in-virtual-currency-category/

200,000 Hotels now accept Bitcoin as payment
http://www.coindesk.com/200000-hotels-accept-bitcoin-cheapair/

To be honest, the positive news and rollout of Bitcoin recently far far outweighs the negative. The speed it is moving into real world uses is insane. It wasn't long ago that someone bought a Tesla for bitcoin andeveryone thought it was amazing. Now it would just be a shrug, no one would be surprised.

Typical troll panic instigator. He spam btc-e trollbox with link to this thread with messages like:

"There will be a huge selloff soon.. sell now while the price is ~$700.. chinese and big investors ARE going to sell their coins.. read this if you dont believe me https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=453230.0"

Considering the USPS is looking into accepting bitcoin, nearly 20 senators accept it for campaign contributions, and the links are to moths old articles, anything posted lost credibility at the start.

This entire system of monetary exchange is new, and volatile, it will work its way out, or a new breed will replace it. By all means, drive the prices down, makes it much easier to buy in.

typical fud, move along.
