So apple banned a bitcoin app. Besides not being what I would consider news, I don't see much crossover between apple users and bitcoin enthusiasts. Seems like people are just grasping for something to pin the blame on?

1. 800 to 700 isn't a crash in my mind.
2. I'm more inclined to think it has to do with Mt. Gox closing.

Agreed on both counts. I'm just seeing apple mentioned a lot right now and was wondering if perhaps someone was missing something.

im 100% pro apple. It's a paradox!

Bitcoin crashed today because of this:

It seems clear enough to me.

Yup....This is what happens time and time again. From having a rudimentary understand of technicals, I would have said (as I have been saying) that Bitcoin is due for more downtime. From looking at the charts, with my rudimentary understanding of technicals, I would still say that its a pretty easy call to make that Bitcoin is going to go down further yet.

Actually the news is overall much more postive than negative. I am seeing more and more uptake and ways to actually use Bitcoin wherever I look. If the price where to have moved up then I am sure that some of these positive news stories would have been handpicked nad brandished around as a reason for Bitcoins rise. The worrying thing is that people actually cling this benefit of hindsight miss-reasoning and allow such bs to affect their judgement going forward.

Bitfinex victims. DO NOT TOUCH THE BFX TOKEN! Start moving it around, or trading it, and you will be construed as having accepted it as an alternative means of payment to your USD, BTC, etc.

I don't see much crossover between apple users and bitcoin enthusiasts.

Of course. Apple users tend to be less tech-savvy and base their purchases on esthetic design and advertising rather than function and engineering.

They are less likely to fully grasp the significance of Bitcoin's disruptive technology and how it works.

I'm not sure why anyone is surprised that two of the most oppressive countries in the world in Russia and China have banned a technology that promotes financial freedom. This seemed like a pretty sure fire guarantee from the beginning...and the USA/FBI comment is pure FUD. But, like the old saying goes, 'you can't fix stupid'.

apple news doesnt matter because if you have a wallet on an exchange or blockchain.info one could access and exchange coins using their iPod if they wanted to.

Cool. Thanks.

It makes me want to look for something I saw yesterday, a re-write of the Crapple blurb quoted in the video you posted.

"Chiseling the pegs square to make them fit the holes". etc.

Steven Jobs was certainly the P.T. Barnum of the high-tech era, a guy who could spot suckers and rubes a mile away and knew how to milk them.

the thing is, it would make us all happy if Apple would embrace bitcoin. Since they haven't, it's upsetting. The people that say Apple "doesn't matter" would be head over heels in glee if they embraced bitcoin.

Either way, the honeyBTCadger will be fine. This technology isn't going anywhere.
