Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I think that is quite a big deal for adoption, although it does look like you pay about 3-3.5% in fees for using the service. From the ZipZap site, it looks as though they will soon be offering the service directly themselves, rather than having to use a separate Bitcoin site, that might lower fees.

Looks like you have to go through Bittylicious anyway, so it'd be easier to just use Bitty directly. The only advantage of this is you get to cut out the banks I guess.

A friend of mine in Edinburgh reports that there are 16 locations near him... These things cover the UK like white on rice.
However the fees are damn high. It's a lot like the old days here in the US when BitInstant did this same thing through ZipZap at lots of walmarts and walgreens pharmacies. Very fast & handy; but not anonymous, and it had higher fees than I was comfy with.
It's a start... They've got lots of bitcoin ATMs headed for the UK this year too so this situation won't last forever.

How much are the fees? The locations are all over the UK. It'd be rare for one not to be too far from a person I think. I don't think this system will be very successful or used much, but I guess it's better than nothing and the option is there.

It's an amazing development. The whole thing looks a little clunky right now but it would've seemed inconceivable even a year ago.
I wonder whether they'll organise a proper awareness push.

Doubt they will. I've not met anybody who was even aware of zip-zap. Payment Point is much more prominent though. Fu** YEAH!! this is hillarious information! very good for Bitcoin! we hope other countries will chase it fast! What's hilarious about it?
