Now that the ARKit 2 is here, let’s reminisce a bit about some of the apps the came along with its predecessor. I confess, it was through iOS 11’s ARKit that I got my first AR experience.
What apps did I enjoy? More than the games, I really, really enjoyed the practical apps. One example is MeasureKit. Aren’t the measuring tools awesome? It’s perfect for measuring wall space or who’s taller between my two friends.
I mean, I don’t even remember the last time I used a ruler or tape measure. I felt cooler even. I know it’s just an app, but it made me feel more functional. More capable of doing things.
