That will depend on how they deal with the streamers. As long as both sides can benefit from the deal, both streamers and the site will get the advantage from the promotion in the streamers channel and I am sure that can give the site many visitors that will come to their site and many of them will become their regular members. At least, I made a little search of how the streamers make money from the deals and yes, some of them made money from the affiliate by giving the referral code to their audience.

Not every streamer makes that kind of cash neither. Recently in my nation the streamers income was dropped after Twitch made the subscriptions a lot lower price. This of course impacted the income of every streamer out there. However the numbers increased a bit as well, did not increased as much to cover the difference but at least it allowed more people to join which makes it a lot better for streamer.

Instead of having 300 people with 5 dollars, you now have 1000 people with 1 dollar, that is not profitable but it is a lot more enjoyable that is for sure, plus makes it easier for you to get ads as well and increases your ad revenue in the long run. All in all I would say that making around a thousand dollars is where the threshold is, after that you could maybe become huge, or you could sustain it that way but it is definitely unsure if you will be a decent streamer or not until around a thousand dollars. Those millions of dollars worth streamers are very rare, it is a lot less than that for 99% of streamers.

Maybe that number will reduce after social media change their rule so the streamers do not earn much money. As you said, the streamer's income dropped after Twitch made changes in subscriptions. But you can try to ask popular streamers on Twitch what impacts their income from the changes.

Maybe for small streamers, that reduces their income a lot and I think that could be the same as in Youtube. Youtubers also earn money and if Youtube adds changes to their rule, I think that does not impact them a lot. They can still earn money in many numbers, although the number will always change monthly.

Besides that, that is just temporary because, with their popularity, they can create other content that can attract more subscribers, which means the new potential income they can make later.

I agree, I think what makes this promo attractive is the limited amount of tickets you can earn throughout the promotion so even if you can't reach the maximum amount you'd still have a decent chance of winning.
