It is like Pavlov's dog ...... you get trained to hear a certain sound, but you do not get immediate reward for that sound... so you continue until you get the reward.

Yes, it is. We can hope that someday, we can be the winner and it will not be a problem if the win money is not too big as those winners. If they can not stop after getting a huge winning, that will be a mistake because, with that huge winning, they can withdraw and celebrate it.

What your friend said is not far from the truth. Indeed, it's the aim of slot creators to create such game that players would want to play it longer. But I personally think that there's nothing wrong with that if you treat the process of playing slots as entertainment. A good sound makes it even more enjoyable.

I'm sorry, I don't want to be rude but what @SmokerFace said above, "it disturbs my focus during the betting", is complete nonsense. It sounds like if he could concentrate better, he could win more, or something.
