the best choice is bitcoin, if you have bitcoin you can exchange it with altcoin other. that is the simplest thing

If you want to gain a good profit then you must buy ethereum or bitcoin because these coins had the capabilities to multiply your money. And in fact altcoin is just relying to bitcoin so in other words bitcoin is more profitable than alt.

I think altcoin investment is very risky and if you are not an experienced and strong investor you will face a great loss for sure. A long-term investment in alts will help you in gaining huge profits as most the cryptos have some great future application but the investors need to hold the token until the product is famous or the platform of the con gains huge traffic. If you understand the risk behind the project you can earn huge profits from it. For now, I think ETH is the best alt to invest but I mostly prefer BTC investments as an investor.

Go through 20 coins sorted in descending order by marketcap and buy each of them with equal amount of fiat than keep waiting for next few months atleast 6 months and get rich.

Its also better to invest 20% of your total bankroll in potential ICO and wait for a year or massive pump in that token price.

Take your time of studying the market now. Sometimes most of the suggestions here wants you to buy shit coins.
There are worthy cheap coins but still do your own research.
I want you to focus with high volume and quite expensive coins that are shown on the top rankings.

ETH is great coin, but there are better coins such as NEO, ADA and WAVES that too run smart contracts and moreover have much more advanced technology when compared with ETH.
