Bitcoin hits lowest in 2018; falls below $6,000: Here’s what you should know

Post-October last year, Bitcoin rallied in a way that shocked the world. From the modest $4,000 price, Bitcoin surged past $19,000 in just two months. But soon, the fall began and now the most popular cryptocurrency has fallen to below $6,000, lowest in 2018. Bitcoin crashed to a low of $5,787 on Sunday afternoon, mildly recovering to $6,131 on Monday morning. There could be many reasons for the fall in Bitcoin — tax selloffs, higher regulations or ban in many countries, multiple hackings et all.

All that apart, the Federal Reserve of San Fransico last month said that the Bitcoin crash could be attributed to Bitcoin Futures. “The rapid run-up and subsequent fall in the price after the introduction of futures does not appear to be a coincidence,” the report ‘How Futures Trading Changed Bitcoin Prices’ said.
Founded by an unknown person or a group of persons Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009, Bitcoin remained within $4000 until mid-2017, when it increased exponentially for about 10 months. “This explosive growth ended on December 17, 2017, when bitcoin reached its peak price of $19,511. Notably, these dynamics aren’t driven by overall market fluctuations,” the report said.
However, crypto traders have not abandoned the idea yet. “This is not the funeral for bitcoin whatsoever,” Brian Kelly, founder and CEO of BKCM LLC, an investment firm focused on digital currencies told CNBC. He added that as compared to last year’s price of $2, 500, Bitcoin is still at a higher level.

Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency, a digital currency which uses encryption techniques to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds. It is like the money, with no physical presence but a series of codes. Bitcoin is traded on exchanges using the blockchain technology. The blockchain is a digital and public ledger through which transactions made in digital currencies are recorded chronologically and publicly.

It is not a matter to worry if the bitcoin price decreasess to the lowest. Because the nature of the blockchain is decentralized, so if there is fall than their will definitely be rise.

There's still a lots of spectators who believes that bitcoin will bounce back, tracing the last years movements then we are still in good position, though even the value falls to this level right now but the chance of being lifted again is still in the position, bitcoin will survive and its between believers and players that will bring the fate of this investment currency, as long as there are people who keep dealing with bitcoin and willing to embrace changes then  probably we will expect another spike.

All market is crashing and nothing can stop this crash. Good news are coming up but nothing change.
Do we lose faith on bitcoin? I do not but we need some real usecases for bitcoin to get more value.

Increase in mining difficulty is suppose to cause some price movement in bitcoin.We had an increase of 13 percent in mining difficulty yet prices of bitcoin plunged.Obviously we are have dis-correlation in the two.The bears are rally strong,hope it goes soon

btc fall -6k$.  its a bad news for all btc hodlers. last December btc reached 20k$. people was thinking 2018 is the best time for hodl. they hope btc reach atleast 30k$+.

I agree with you. The market still has buyers on bitcoin. The demand is still there and the bitcoin price may rise again.

The demand is still there and helps alot of bitcoin's price to increase again. We all know that blockchain or cryptocurrency world's price is decentralized and volatile. We don't need to expect too much on bitcoin because we knew that there are times that it will crash. Somehow, we need to have faith and hope that it will recover as soon as possible.

Bitcoin has already turned into downtrend over the past weeks. Some security threats & regulatory frameworks have been main reasons for traders to cut loss their portfolio as quickly as possible. The broken support at $6400 held as short-term resistance and price is finding the next downside targets. There is a small chance that its market price will sit at $10k in the time to come

But it is very sad for the people who invested at Dec 2107 but the price is still expensive for the people who invested at Jan 2017 and earlier.So don't expect too much just hold on the price will recover soon when it's time come.
