I'm interested in the question - "Do I have to pay taxes for Bounty and other income in the crypto currency"? For some time I have already taken part in the Bounty, I have already deduced the money more than once and now I have asked myself this question. I understand that different countries have different laws, so I will clarify that I live in Russia. As far as I know, the crypt in Russia is not yet legalized,
so I think that it is not necessary to pay taxes, but on the other hand it's also income, and taxes pay taxes on income.
Who is aware of this issue, please write your answers. I would be very grateful.

I think Russian government is already announced it will be legalised in soon. So they plan for taxes in future not now if you have more dought you should visit the Russian taxes site. But if you participate in bounty program you will not earn know it take more than 6 months so that day Russia is legalized in cryptocurrency you will pay some taxes.

You dont need to pay any taxes for your bounty tokens.
you just need to be ready for the transfer fees.
if the token arrived on your ERC20 wallet you need to ready 0.002 ETH or less.
then once traded on exchange you need to pay again another fee from that exchange to your private wallet

I think soon will be the day when Russia will introduce a tax on the withdrawal of money.  Once the question of legalization has been raised, it will be 100% tax introduced!

No need to pay tax now but very soon you will pay them. And even if you want to pay the tax, under which category are you paying it?

This infomation are not clear and i think the Russian Goverment will realease the clear policy soon. If this rule come true, i think the advantage of blockchain will disappear. Crypto must without taxes.

I believe its a form of an income, for the marketing you've done for them.
See it as you would be a freelancer, and you participated in that project. It would be logical if income tax would apply to it.

Where I live, I would need to pay income tax and healthcare contribution, and that's all. However, that checks out for 29%, which is a LOT.
If I will get plenty of earnings from bounties, it would be worth it to move to Germany or Denmark for that zero tax on bounty money.
I plan to do that because of my studies anyways, and that 0% tax is really convincing.

Right, we can be categorized to freelancers if we earned from crypto whether it's from trading or bounties. Since there is no perfect law yet about crypto's, it can be served as online income that will go down to that category.

Now this issue is not regulated at the state level and the state at the moment does not consider the currency of the crypto currency, therefore it is not necessary to pay taxes.

I think that any earned money that you will withdraw to Fiat, on your plastic card for example, should be paid tax if you want to live by the law. But you can either use the crypto or find ways to circumvent these laws in your country.

You'll have to pay if there is any rules about cryptocurrency in your country. But if it's not so I think you don't have to. But IMO, if you don't pay taxes for your income so it's kind of tax evade and you'll be arrested because of it. Try to legal your crypto income then pay taxes for government then you'll be fine Wink

If you pay taxes then you're willingly giving your money to the government. You don't have to pay (getting caught is another issue), it's simply your choice. It's easy to hide it in crypto.

This is one of the reasons cryptocurrencies is banned by other governments and they do not have proof of jow much you are earning in doing bounties, hodl or even trading. As it really depends on you if you would want to pay taxes which I believe you should as a responsible member of your community and to help with the projects of your government.

Why would you pay tax? For what reason? I see no reason for this since there is no bodies of law or any other entity have the authority over running an ICO. Project conducting their ICO for free, they don't pay anythng aside to those expenses that needs to be paid.

At the current time, there is no such rules as to pay taxes on cryptos. Actually cryptos are not accepted in all the countries. But soon the time will come when there will be taxes imposed on cryptocurrency. Cryptos will get regulated soon but before that the govt and institutions has to embrace it

In my country, there is a policy that describes the individual's acquisition of the player's virtual currency through the Internet.
The proceeds from the sale to others after the fare increase are personal income tax, which means that the tax is required.
But in order for this policy to become a reality, it is necessary to fully implement the real-name system of the Internet.
I think the symbolic meaning of this policy is greater than the actual meaning. However, virtual currency supervision is difficult, and the cost may be higher than the tax itself, which is difficult to implement.

For example, in my country, there is no rule about cryptocurrency income so I don't have to pay taxes for my income from bounty campaign or any investing way in crypto world. But I often increase income level of my real job when I have to fill in the form to pay taxes so I'll have to pay more taxes and until now everything is still fine for me Smiley. Try to find out a way to legalize your income, don't try to evade taxes

In my own understanding you should pay taxes from your income if your wealth is declared and government can trace it. One thing more that you are obliged to pay taxes if cryptocurrency is legal in your country. You need to follow the regulation on cryptocurrency impose by your government to avoid any problem.

You'll not have to pay taxes if you still keep them in crypto but if you exchange all your crypto into cash then I think you'll have to pay taxes for government although there is no rule about cryptocurrency in your country yet. Don't try to evade taxes if you don't wanna be punished by law in the future Smiley

It all depends on the amounts you withdraw. If it is small amounts, the tax organization is unlikely to have questions about your income. You can make cards for family members and display the same amount on different cards. Even if the tax organization is interested in your income, you can negotiate with friends who will write you a receipt that took money from you and now they are returned. Bypass schemes very much and you can get around them quite simply. At least no one has asked me any questions yet. I heard that there is a payment system called AdvCash. They have offshore cards, which unfortunately ceased to serve in Russia and in some CIS countries. However, if you are not from these countries, you can use it and then no one will ever bother you.

I think by paying taxes will increase the price increase on the coin, because with it the state as legalized crypto, so it will affect on price increases.

Rather, it will be that when you enter the tax on the coin will automatically rise the price of the coin! However, if there is legalization, then we can use coins in everyday life, and this will also increase the price on the market!
