UPDATE: Feb 15: Its come to my attention that someone has "name-trolled" us and just launched another stacy

I don't know who or what they're playing at but would highly advise people to avoid it.
For what its worth Stacy is actually working with us on making a really cool coin, these guys surely noticed all the domains/twitter/reddit accounts were taken and didn't have the decency to rename theirs.
(they also have lied several times in their thread claiming Stacy's support bla bla)

OK so last week I was recalling back (in the very early Keiser Reports) and there was a twitter war between Stacy and Max  (who had the most followers etc.. there was a theme...)

....I've decided a little crypto war is in order....

We all followed the unfortunately premature launch of MAX (or tried to seeing as the forums were more hammered than a teenager on white lighting)

The coin is far from a cookie cutter scrypt clone which is nice.. there simply were not enough working clients on release.

The main issues were sadly because of buggy tx's in the cpuminer code, no windows binaries/GUIs etc..etc..
I've just checked and we still don't have any stratum patches in the wild yet sadly.

STCY will be launched much smoother than MAX.

Basically:

• there will be no rush
• there will be {windows,OSX,linux} clients (We might even clean up our old Makefiles in the source)
• there will be live pools with working {cuda,cpu,cg}miners.
• things will be tested
• things will be tested by somebody else
• things will be tested AGAIN

(there will also be linux binaries that work for at least 3 distros.. we might even test windows

...hopefully soon we'll have some public code to implement working stratum so we can all deploy pools...

This can not happen again.

Maxcoin was a clusterfuck. It was a detriment and embarrassment  to the alt community. Innovation is the only way this market will survive.

Maxcoin/stacycoin etc cannot happen again if we want legitimacy. These are all jokes unless you bring something new to the table (hype doesnt count)

Max and Stacy, let the market work without you guys trying to manipulate it with your hype and hysteria, the masses will get turned off which will be bad for this new great invention.

i tweeted a stacecoin idea to stacey herbert last night i think it would be a great idea and it would have a much smoother launch. everybody who hates maxcoin would jump on it. please make it.

nothing worked , windows wallet was broken , said its gonna be cpu coin but @@'s

and the biggest irony of all ...... is that he delayed 24hrs the FAIR (my @ss) launch because bitcointalk was down, ROLF!

so there are 2 reason all these was happent

A) Max is a tard & his dev team a bunch of n00b amatures

B) Master mind despicable me(MAX) + his minions  tryin to get all the altcoin world in his feet... guess what mister...you failed!

The lack of windows gui was quite surprising yes, I had expected more.

The stray Makefiles in the first .zip for example showed what a rush the dev's were in...

To be fair their FAQ did say that GPU mining would be possible long before launch.

In response to the reasons:
A) the dev team actually seems pretty good, its certainly not a generic coin-gen job.. I also like Kimoto Gravity Well etc..  I hardly understand some of new algo stuff but its interesting and refreshing.

B) I feel I'm unqualified to comment on Max's "tard"iness..
I can say that he's got a fantastic track record of "telling it like it is" and starting general altruistic projects.
(eg: StartJOIN)

It annoys me that you sit there every week and bitch and moan about the governments manipulating everything and ruining everything then you launch your own coin, slag off every other coin telling them to watch out, causing all your followers to sell their investments in other coins so they can all buy your ill launched coin.
