Please permit me to release my emotion by ranting.

This is about the attitude of some high-ranked members to the posts of other members especially the newbies like me.

I find it toxic if someone will reply on your post and accuse you that you are just posting for the sake of earning a merit.

What gives those toxic high-ranked members the authority to judge the intention of the new members of this forum? And if they do not want to give a merit then fine by me.  Just don't give a merit and start a wonderful discussion regarding the topic, not commenting about the poster and committing ad hominem.

Yes I need merit to rank up and I would be glad to have them.  It would be hypocrite for me if i say that I do not want them.  However, I do not need their merit or favor to justify my worth in this forum.  They act like a higher being that will supervise your post and examine it if it is merit-worthy or not.  Your post become a thread of argument if the post deserves a merit and the topic of your post has been neglected.

thank you for letting me rant.  I know that not all high-ranked members have this kind of attitude and most really desire to help us newbies and stir a decent discussion with one another.

Ranting is good because it serves as a way of expressing your emotions to the public.. But don't rant when you are expected to complain in a quiet way
