If Bitcoin were to completely bottom out, what would happen to the altcoins?

Follow the crypto superstar to a fiery death?  or  Skyrocket passed their predecessor?

I believe that Satoshi had a vision where blockchain technology and cryptocurrency would be the foundation of the world. But as we all know Rome wasn't built in a day(unlike bitcoins run to 20k). What if in this vision Bitcoin wasn't meant to be the gold of the internet but rather a mold of what should be created. When comparing bitcoin to its rivals, it is usually at a disadvantage in the technology department yet, it is still the most valued crypto. While Lightning network has been less than impressive, other crypto tech has been stealing the spotlight. Ripple is currently holding the fastest transaction time of roughly 3 seconds(avg. transaction time for bitcoin~60min). EOS while navigating a rough mainnet launch is dropping EON which looks to fundamentally solve problems within EOS. Investors are already talking about EON being crypto-gold in the near future.

Don't give up hope if Bitcoin does take a turn for the worst. Trust the Tech, better days are on their way.

I'm not sure the altcoin will survive when bitcoin has fallen, because we all know, now all altcoins have a price dependence on bitcoin, if bitcoin falls then everything will run out.

Although bitcoin is the leading electronic money in the world, there are plenty of coins in the coding ecosystem. I do not think the collapse of a coin can affect the entire crypto world. Even after the death of bitcoin, electronic money can not cease to exist, because every day the money is not much inferior to the advances of bitcoin and maybe some will grow much larger.

Everything will depend on what causes Bitcoin to die. If, for example, a global catastrophe happens, it is clear that everyone will have no time for cryptocurrency. But if Bitcoin simply loses its position due to lower demand, then it is likely that its holders will turn over to some other coin.

It seems to me that the death of bitcoin will significantly affect all cryptocurrencies, as it has been and remains the leader in the entire market. And maybe it will not cause the death of all coins, but they will also significantly fall after bitcoin.

I also think that it is necessary to focus on the factors that will cause the death of bitcoin. Since with the technology itself, it is unlikely that something can happen, but if an event occurs that will affect the digital currency itself as a whole, it will affect absolutely all coins.

Crypto has moved a long way since Bitcoin first hit the seen. Bitcoin will not die in the forceable, however it may well end up in care home for geriatric coins, as young upstarts take the limelight  by doing everything bitcoin dos but better, faster and cheaper. I see bitcoin in the next ten years growing for a while (with occasional dramatic highs and lows) then gradually becoming less and less relevant.

Why do you think that bitcoin is death in the first place,if the price of bitcoin is down it dose not mean its a death coin,if you really understand what  bitcoin is all about you cease to say its a death coin, note its a volatile currency.

The death of btc is just the death of btc. Although it's not possible now, if it does happen, that would happen most likely because some crypto replaces btc. In that does happen, that would be rather a natural process than something unexpected.

It is true that if bitcoin dead then all the cryptos may be dead because that each crypto is affected by bitcoin cost as you generally available and all cryptocurrencies are being exchanged with bitcoin. On the other hand, if bitcoin dead, people will lose their trust in cryptocurrency and they will not invest in crypto anymore. So you can say that the death of Bitcoin also means the death of cryptomania.
The death of Bitcoin will have a negative impact on cryptocurrency as a whole, which will eventually die by itself because there are no more users. However, the death of altcoin does not mean death for bitcoin because bitcoin was indeed created as a digital currency without a companion. Even my prediction, bitcoin will someday become a digital currency that is used throughout the world after going through a series of system improvements so that it can be accepted by all countries.

I don't think that Bitcoin will die. Just imagining btc will die some day, even that cryptomania still alive and will not die easily.

hypothetical death of bitcoin means death of all the altcoins because majority of altcoins are based on bitcoin even if it doesn't seem like it at first look. and also because they all exist because of bitcoin! most of them have a value thanks to bitcoin traders who want to increase their bitcoin. so if there were no bitcoin they would also have no reason to trade those altcoins either and they will all die.

The death of bitcoin does not mean crypto death, but it will be a failure, because with the death of bitcoin the trust in crypto will be lost. But as the main coin in crypto, bitcoin won't die that fast.

If the bitcoin would dead today everything would collapse. All the market get crushes and there would a biggest panic in the markets, everyone would try to sell their coins and it will be big caos. Actually  all the world would collapse, there is market with 20 billions of dollar worth 24h Volume. But i am sure that would not be happen, big powers (i mean the big families) wouldn't let it happen..

Since we didn't see a progress in adoption of bitcoin into financial system. This caused a weakness on price of bitcoin and it made bitcoin vulnerable to manipulations and speculations. This week, we have experienced a slight drop on bitcoin price. This drop doesn't mean that bitcoin has lost its charm and it still has a greate potential. But problems will not be solved in a day and we need to be more patience.

Bitcoin is still at risk and can die sooner or later dependkng on the holders and the market itself. But then the idea and the technology remains the same, just drastically improving and innovating. Hence, we must not be scared if the mother of all cryptos would die. Good things may leave, but better things would come after. But then again, trust and patience is the key.
