It's very sad to say that there's no coffee shop that accepted tron as a payment. Crypto needs to be very scalable to be used on daily basis like buy coffee or ear on mcd or something else.
I do agree if tron is scalable enough to be accepted on the merchants like coffee shop but it looks like we will not see that happen soon.

When in 2017, I know a project called PundiX "Their motto buying crypto like buying a bottle of water" Their target make a payment gateway to the whole world. I see some of their demo product, it's good and so fast, you just need to scan the QR then done. But now, I do not truly know about their development. it is not safe to keep these coins for a long time, because their price can fall at any moment.
I like Bitcoin the most for the purpose of buying coffee

All the mentioned cryptocurrencies have got low transaction fee, but how this gonna make a big change in the market needs to be known. Though these are few cryptocurrencies in the top list, the acceptance level of these are very low. Right now the real-time usage on stores is high for bitcoin and ethereum. Maybe understanding the need for something cost effective store owners and users can switch to these cryptocurrencies on buying a coffee.

Well, yeah tron is a good option but I will personally go with XRP because the same address can be used by the owner with different tags which makes it easier and the confirmations are instant as anyone who uses ripple knows about it. I actually wonder if such ideas (as OP was made in 2018) ever came into existence and become a reality.

Honestly if I could walk into a store and pay them via scamming QR code via ripple then really would buy a few extra items or if it is a coffee shop them maybe 2 cups extra.
