Brahma OS: Constructing an Autonomous Connecting Network
Whether in the blockchain field or the current Internet economy field, there are issues of network communication connection that need to be solved. How to access data on the web at any time is one of the crucial issues.
Network communication, or internetworking, defines a set of protocols (that is, rules and standards) that allow application programs to talk with each other without regard to the hardware and operating systems where they are run. Internetworking allows application programs to communicate independently of their physical network connections. The internetworking technology called TCP/IP is named after its two main protocols: Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and Internet Protocol (IP).
When we talk about network communications, most of the time we are talking about how the terminal connects to the wide area network. In the current architecture, the terminal device connects to the meta-network (i.e., the local area network to which it can connect directly). Then meta-network connects to different meta-network or the upper network through the router and the switch. Most of the connections between different meta-networks are operators.
As we can see there are two layers: meta-network and router. Meta-network means the local area network to which it can connect directly. Routers perform the traffic directing functions on the Internet. The end nodes in the meta-network can form a peer-to-peer network, that is, the nodes in any meta-network are online and should not cause unreachable communication in the meta-network. This is not the core of our concern, as its connectivity problems are not hard to solve. The critical problem goes to the router.
In current network communications, we must trust and can only trust the router. A router is connected to two or more data lines from different networks. When a data packet comes in on one of the lines, the router reads the network address information in the packet to determine the ultimate destination. Then, using information in its routing table or routing policy, it directs the packet to the next network on its journey. In fact, the router not only can completely intercept and spy on the data, protocol, and trend of communication between meta-networks but also act on it, such as tampering the service and denying the service.
In currently available network communications, OS end-users face two major problems: privacy exposure, unprotected accessibility.
Therefore, in the Brahma OS, we expect to build a peer-to-peer OS network to ensure the encryption of the communication data and the non-identifiability of communication data through protocol confusion at the data transport level. a peer-to-peer (P2P) network is created when two or more PCs are connected and share resources without going through a separate server computer. In a P2P environment, access rights are governed by setting sharing permissions on individual machines, which increases the safety of our data. Brahma OS will build an autonomous connecting network based on the configuration of the routing. Let’ s wait and see Brahma OS leading the blockchain industry.
