Every type of marketing is worth it as long as the project knows who are his target market's.

There are many sub-reddit boards which are created for ICOs/altcoins/cryptocurrencies there.

As long you are pushing your project to advertise and getting exposure with various numbers of crypto people, it's worth it IMO.

Until now, as long as I am in the world of crypto. I do admit that the best social media for promoting ICO is REDDIT.
this is because, the number of investors and crypto developers who communicate and discuss about crypto inside the reddit platform.
I say like that, because I've experienced it.

Marketing is a promotion of some products or anything else but ultimate aim of goal is promotion so all the marketing sites are need for ICO. Reddit is really helpful to promote the crypto because still some Reddit campaigns are available in the market so good investors are analyse the Review and rating's sites.

You are right, reddit stands in one line with such social networks as facebook and twitter. But look at amazix, they say twitter and facebook are not effective anymore.

You have to be careful with reddit. I know through experience that jumping right in there and spamming your link just gets you branded as a spammer. Reddit despises any activity of that kind. My advice to you if you were going to take on the might of reddit is to work up a reputation there first. Interact with others, comment on their stuff. Then now and again drop a link.

I never do reddit for ICO but I participated in many campaigns to promote the project and from my understanding all of these kind of promotions are valuable depending on what approach we made to attract them

Of course it is,Reddit is the most popular place for project promoting nowadays,many advertisers turns from signature and Facebook to Reddit and Twitter since these are more fresher than the first two mentioned
