There are so many projects now are out and its so hard to select where you can invest or not. I've already encountered before a scam such us NEYROS, METH and FALCON. Like what other project, before investing you need to check the WEBSITE, ROADMAP and the WHITEPAPER.

True, it's better not to send any amount of eth on selfdrop, just do the 0 amount, that way you spend only for the gas. I have a suggestion, if you are not into discord yet, please make an account , many pos coin are having an airdrop in there. You should try on pos coin also if you are not in it, it's better than token and most of the pos coin airdrops are listed on exchange you just need to participate on the airdrop for you to get a free coin.

From my little knowledge
Most self drop has been fraud and scam
After the successes of Enumivo
The other selfdrop I have tried has failed tremendously and it has been a shame too
Let’s all be safe always and do the maximum protection for all.

I feel the difficulty in detecting which ico will succeed, all the roadmap appearance, white paper is always convincing, the market situation is very influential on all ico

I keep doing the selfdrop tho
And some simple basics I have tried once is to check the contract address before doing the self drop

I found this somewhere
Hope it helps as it did mine

HOW TO KNOW FAKE SELF AIRDROP(SCAM) AND FAKE AIRDROP Part 1

1. Once u open any Google airdrop form and the first thing u see is "donate 0.01 ETH to receive 100,000 tokens bla bla JUST IGNORE IT. IT IS SCAM.
Note: Airdrops are meant to be FREE!

2. Before you do any SELF AIRDROP at all, first copy the address and scan it on ethplorer.io to see if they are truly sending tokens to people who have donated!

3. The fact that you see from the ethplorer.io scan that people who donated received tokens does not still make the SELF AIRDROP real!

4. Look at the ETH balance of the address you are asked to donate to, if it is not up to at least $2000, just LEAVE IT, IT IS SCAM!

5. Also apart from scanning the ETH address you were asked to donate to, also click and scan the ETH address dispatching tokens to people, you will be shocked to see that most are private eth wallets with other several fake coins inside!

Not necessary, before you invest you may know personally the team of ICO development and their plan and if its a long term platform, because as of now 90-99% all of ICO is scam.

putting all the faith in a new coin blindly is of a grave concern. New coins are merging and its sustainability is uncertain even with full and proper investigation. The coins have both pros and cons simultaneously. So, it will be better in this case to put all the eggs in one basket i.e. in bitcoins.

There are many confusion about it. Some investors think it to be scam. Moreover it is very difficult to judge which ICO to invest on and why.

I think you missed one point, so it's gtihub.
Because a project's open source code is an important factor.

yes it is difficult to determine in which project we should invest. sometimes projects with convincing concepts and prospects are a scam. should be more researching and studying the project we want to invest. learn how the roadmap, the team inside it and the ledger. but a safer place if you want to invest is ETH. good luck with your investment.

There are different types of coins and projects that are coming to the market of crypto currency. There are both good and bad coins that are operating in the market of crypto currency. So investing in the new coin is really risky and uncertain. That’s why I support bitcoin only as it is the most reliable coin in the market.

I dont trust this kind of way to earn profit because sometimes it is a scam and our efforts will not be credited to gain incomes. The one thing i always do is about signature campaign because it really gives us good profit/income.

Unfortunately, many are made to defraud people. There are really good ones among them, but finding them is harder than finding water in desert. So you need to be very careful.

Huge majority of selfdrops are a scam, and getting that selfdropped money is the only purpose of most of such scams. You can always look at the project first before you decide to send anything; if you do, you'll see that many don't have a decent site, no real project, no real team, nothing. Why would you send them anything? Thousands people sending 0.01 eth or so, already makes a few eth, that's fine for a quick scam I guess. Especially if you can make another one already tomorrow.

If it's a real project with at least some potential, they certainly can get to some of so many potential investors worldwide, and they'll certainly have enough to pay for gas when sending coins, instead of asking their investors to do so.

Yes their could be one in hundreds of projects where you won't be scammed, but in all others, you will.

Whenever I join a ICO's and freedrop/airdrop/selfdrop, I always tend to check first the background of each team members specially the CEO/project leader.
Why? Because it's the hardest part to make with a fake info. A combination of text search (name, company) and reverse image search (picture of the project members) will do the verification if its really true and reliable.
