SportsPodium is a transparent, blockchain-based sports community that will enable a new economy by unlocking undervalued and un-monetized aspects in sports utilising the power of blockchain technology.
With our unique reputation algorithms, SportsPodium is creating the world’s largest, completely transparent, sports information database. It will make fairness, merit and equal opportunity the benchmark for competition as well as reward and will create an open and engaging platform for sports lovers all over the globe to share in the excitement of sports and fitness.
Sports participants will be rewarded with PODs for their data that they contribute to the blockchain. The blockchain will benefit from this data by providing data centric services such as targeted advertising and talent identification.
SportsPodium has an inclusive model and we partner with existing sports application providers.  We provide these providers with the value of rewarding their user bases with POD tokens in return for access to their sports data and information. We are also partnering with various sports equipment providers and online shops that will accept PODs as payment for their goods and services.
Late last year we announced the SportsPodium project with our POD token. But in order to place ourselves in a more prepared position - and protect our investors, we decided to forego our ICO at that time and raised only enough start up cash to build our team and initial tools and to prove our SportsPodium concept in the real world for our first sport: Golf.

Well, our D-day has arrived! 21 June marked the start of our Golf Application.

As a retired 13 gold and 2 silver medalist at the Paralympics, she has vowed to become a success in her business career as a social media strategist.

It has the bitcoin UTXO model for the SIRX coin that can easily be integrated with current BTC payment systems, the ability to run Solidity Smart Contracts in an EVM and the fact that they don't do PoW makes it orders of magnitude faster and cheaper compared to Ethereum.

We also have a very good relationship with the Sirius developers and see them as partners that can walk with us on this journey.

Yes, we plan to follow Sirius for exchange listings, although we are in talks with different exchanges separately. But since we're on the Sirius platform it will only make sense for any exchange to list Sirius along with any token based on the platform.

We believe we need to build a successful self-sustainable business around sport and our token.  This will ensure that the economy works well and we can execute on our promises.  We have all the roll players in place in order to build a closed loop Minimum viable product from the full platform perspective.

•    We have our first application live.  The app is aimed at golfers and they will earn PODs for using our application and entering their data.
•    We are in negotiations with very large sports chains which will accept our POD token in their retail and online stores to create demand, which means we can build the payment gateways which can integrate directly into exchanges in order to ensure their is demand for the token on exchanges.
•    We already have advertisers which paying for brand awareness, but we are in the process of designing a full advertising engine based on the real world requirement. 
•    We are in final discussions with partners (Other Sports Applications) that want to integrate into our platform, which means we will are building the API’s and integration points based on a real world requirement.

We are currently funding the project ourselves, with limited resources and are in the process of speaking to various investors to secure funding to take this project to the next level. One of the many ways that we use to attract sportspeople to our platform is by using existing infrastructure like clubs and schools to encourage the use of our applications. We are going live with a new Golf Tournament management portal, which allows golf clubs and corporates companies to automate the full lifecycle of arranging a Golf Day or Tournament.

The market is just insane, as there are 30 000 + golf clubs in the world.  

At the same time we are changing the world that people look at apps. Thing of it is this way:

It is explicitly stated that a POD is not intended to act as a security, but that it is intended as a utility token. It is earned by behaviours and effort of the community members and to reward them. There are various ways they can derive goods and services in exchange for the token. While value may increase in the future, this is only desired in as much as it will enhance the reward for the member for inputting data into the system.

Tokens will be available for acquisition on various crypto exchanges for the sole purpose to allow advertisers to acquire these tokens for spend on advertising in the platform.

At no time will any interest, dividend or other return be made on the tokens held. In the case of vested PODs, the token class will simply be rewarded for their platform management activity through a platform management fee.

Earn Crypto for partnering with SportsPodium



Our ecosystem is designed to encourage various partners to participate on the platform. Partners and promoters can earn a percentage of all distributed PODs in the partnership deal. We negotiate each deal on a per case basis as we strongly believe in a value for value economy.

Sports Application Owners

SportsPodium can create a new revenue stream for existing Sports Application providers when the integrate their application with our API. Current application providers will also be able to provide their userbase with incentives, which in turn provide the application provider with the potential of expanding their current userbase. Application providers will receive a share of all tokens allocated to their userbase as incentive should they be willing for SportsPodium to incentivise their userbases. This percentage will be determined by the value their userbase brings to the overall platform.

Online and Retail Stores

Online and retail stores are key to the success of the Sportspodium economy. SportsPodium are looking for partners in the online and retail stores to accept our token as a method of payment for their goods and services. SportsPodium is a decentralised payment mechanism and we are in the process of developing payment gateways which will be free to use for both online and retail stores. SportsPodium will not charge any fees for the stores, to the contrary, we will give retail stores 50% of all transaction fees paid by users of our token for their specific online or retail stores.

Sport Clubs and Schools

Sports Clubs and Schools will earn a percentage of all tokens allocated to athletes within their school or club. The tokens will be paid directly into the SportsPodium wallet of the specific School or club. Should the golf club be introduced by any club member or another outside party, a commission will be included in the distribution (see golf example at the end).

Ambassadors

A percentage (0.2%) of all tokens emitted will be allocated to the ambassador’s pool. PODs from this pool will be distributed to the SportsPodium wallets of the sports ambassadors according to their specific agreements.

Entrepreneurs — Take the SP Golf solution to your market

Entrepreneurs are people like me and you. All you have to do is go to your nearest golf club and introduce our golf solution to the club. There is enough incentives for any golf club to use our system and it should not be a difficult conversation. If the club sign up t use the application -at no cost-, the partner who introduced us to the club will earn PODs on an ongoing basis.

SportsPodium has developed a golf solution consisting of three components. An events management portal, a mobile scoring application and a live leader board. Any golf club, golfer or partner can earn our POD tokens for participating in the SportsPodium ecosystem.

The events management portal is key for driving usage of the mobile application. All golfers registered for a specific golf day will automatically be added in the mobile golf app and users need only download the golfing app before or on the day to be able to record their golf scores on their scorecards. The scorecards are populated with the data for the specific golf course being played that day.

The golf app supports more than 34 000 golf courses around the world. The golf app is key for delivering detailed data into our sports database, which will allow hyper-targeted advertising to the golf community. As scores are recorded on the day of the event, a live leader board is updated in near real-time. The leader board is accessible through any television screen or computer which has Internet connectivity.

The live leader board calculates scores for many types of golf competitions and supports golfers that play on various courses on the same day — even on the same leader board. Considering that we take Handicap Index, Course Rating and Slope Rating into account, we are breaking new grounds in the golfing world.

Anyone who are interested to earn POD tokens on an ongoing basis can take our product to their golf market. The person taking this to market will receive a percentage of all tokens distributed to the users he brings to the platform.

SportsPodium Anti-Bot Mechanics




Because a lot of value will be placed on diligence, completeness and accuracy of athlete training and performance data, bots will have the ability to completely skew data services and devalue the SportsPodium economy.

User Registration and validation in communities, to make sure we are dealing with real users, are the essence of the reward system. SportsPodium Token Emission

Token Emission
Token emission is linked to a smart contract and ensures that tokens are fairly distributed when activities occur within the ecosystem. The emission model takes the following variables into consideration to calculate activity rewards:
Total PODs in circulation, User Rep, Total Rep, Activity Weight (Set by App), Weight Sum, Source App Weight, App Weight sum, Verification factor, Community pool split.
Emission rate will be directly proportional to the number of activities recorded on the blockchain and the value of the data. Activity value is calculated purely on potential ad revenue from the users logging their activities.
Token Value Drivers
Token value should remain stable if token emission rate is proportional to the value of the data – speculation aside. We realise the importance of protecting POD holders and have built in measures in the platform to protect POD value. (Also see POD vesting later in this document)
In short, all tokens printed today are worth more compared to the tokens printed yesterday as demand was created by emitting less tokens than were required to incentivise the userbase for the activities which they performed.
 Inflation Resistance Multiplier
We are reducing the value-based target inflation adjustment by 50%. E.g. if the previous activity reward was 200 PODs and the current activities to be rewarded should get 300 PODs, we will only print 250 PODs (200 + 100 * 50%) and share those among the activities. This reduces sudden jumps in inflation due to fast network growth.
Additional Network Services
Data value is only estimated with ad revenue potential, but many other services are planned on the platform that will drive demand for PODs and increase their value. These will include talent scouting, self-promotion, sponsorships and event management.
Inflation Hard Cap
We are capping the maximum possible inflation at 0.33% per day (or 10% per month). If SportsPodium experiences sudden growth and takes on thousands of new users, inflation will be clamped to not exceed 10% per month even if the network value grows by 100% or more.
 Negative Inflation Adjustments
If the number of activities is reduced over time, the emission calculation allows for negative inflation adjustments and reduce inflation to match the activity data value and other parameters.

Athletes will be rewarded for the data which they enter into the system on a per-activity basis. For us to ensure the distribution is fair to all the participants, they will be rewarded based on their system reputation, which they build over time.



Diligence
Players, coaches, teams, clubs/schools and administrators who diligently and regularly enter their data will be incentivised. The SportsPodium algorithms will execute multipliers to incentivise the more diligent participants in order to encourage continued usage of the platform.

Accuracy
Accurate information in the system is critical to ensure reliable data services. Consensus algorithms and verification mechanisms are used to measure the accuracy of the data in the system. Reputation increase is influenced heavily by the degree of accuracy of data captured into the system. Reputation is a key part of the algorithm incentivising participants.

Performance
One of the aims of SportsPodium is to ultimately identify upcoming talent in the early stages of their sporting careers. Consistent good performance will ensure greater incentives for the participant.



The distribution is automated by smart contracts based on a rule set which is maintained within the ecosystem.

Funds are distributed on a per activity basis in the following manner:

Community Pool
Just like on the Steemit blogging website, we will reward our community on a per activity basis. The current percentage to be distributed to the community is set at 80% of the coins issued. By submitting your sport and fitness related data you will receive your share of the rewards based on your reputation as explained above. In steemit you are rewarded based on the amount of Steem Power you hold, and in SportsPodium you can earn your percentage by building a good reputation. The percentage might move up or down slightly depending on various deals which SportsPodium negotiates with partners and promoters.

Promoters and partners
We have written a detailed post on how promoters and partners can assist growing our user base in return in our value for value economy.

We have two immediate incentives for our partners and promoters:

1. We generate a new revenue stream for our partners by allocating a set percentage of tokens which is currently set at 10% of tokens allocated to the partners user base, but this can change on a deal per deal basis.
2. We offer our partners the ability to incentivize their own user base with our tokens through an open-api and therefor the ability to expand their user base.

Platform maintenance
The SportsPodium platform needs to be maintained and expanded. The 5% allocated to platform maintenance will allow the team to focus on building out the user base, the platform and encourage partners to join the ecosystem.

vPOD holders
vPODs is very similar to SteemPower (on the Steemit platform) and has the following characteristics:

You will earn a network fee after being vested for 7 days
You will earn the right to participate in the governance of the platform within 30 days.
vPODs can instantly be divested for tradable PODs and there is no waiting period.

Apologies for only responding now, but I only saw your message now on my return from holiday season. 

SportsPodium

SportsPodium is a transparent blockchain-based sports community. In short we are aiming to build the largest amateur sports database in the world.  We will do this by incentivising athletes of various sporting disciplines with our crypto tokens.  We started with the sport of golf, and our app can already be downloaded from the Iphone and Android stores. We also have an API, which will ensure that any existing sporting application can plug into our platform and we can then incentivise their user base.

Existing user bases receives two benefits:
1.   A new revenue stream as our smart contracts will transfer a percentage of all tokens issued to their user base into their wallet.
2.   They can entice more users to join their platform as they can now incentivise their users with crypto tokens to join their platform.
 This will assist us in growing our user base at a rapid pace.

I haven’t heard about the sirius recently.We don't know if it is still developing.The team does not seem to have any information about this project.It looks like a scam again.
