SportsPodium is a transparent, blockchain-based sports community that will enable a new economy by unlocking undervalued and un-monetized aspects in sports utilising the power of blockchain technology.
With our unique reputation algorithms, SportsPodium is creating the world’s largest, completely transparent, sports information database. It will make fairness, merit and equal opportunity the benchmark for competition as well as reward and will create an open and engaging platform for sports lovers all over the globe to share in the excitement of sports and fitness.
Sports participants will be rewarded with PODs for their data that they contribute to the blockchain. The blockchain will benefit from this data by providing data centric services such as targeted advertising and talent identification.
SportsPodium has an inclusive model and we partner with existing sports application providers.  We provide these providers with the value of rewarding their user bases with POD tokens in return for access to their sports data and information. We are also partnering with various sports equipment providers and online shops that will accept PODs as payment for their goods and services.
Late last year we announced the SportsPodium project with our POD token. But in order to place ourselves in a more prepared position - and protect our investors, we decided to forego our ICO at that time and raised only enough start up cash to build our team and initial tools and to prove our SportsPodium concept in the real world for our first sport: Golf.

Well, our D-day has arrived! 21 June marked the start of our Golf Application.

This day also launched the first sport on our platform and a few other significant announcements:

• We will use the newly launched Sirius smart blockchain as our platform https://getsirius.io
• Rugby Superstar, Bryan Habana, will be our ambassador for our first team sport. Bryan Habana has scored the second most International tries in the history of the game. He is also the 7th most capped rugby union player of all time.
• Partnerships in the pipeline with various existing sports applications including the Ultimate Aim Group.

Introducing our Community Development Officer - Natalie du Toit.

As a former Olympian and Paralympian, Natalie du Toit has moved on from her inspiring and memorable sporting career where she earned her stripes as a Young Leader in the World Economic Forum, speaker at the European Union Parliament in Brussels, the winner of an Ethics in Leadership Award, The Order of Ikhamanga in Gold, a medal earned for her exceptional achievements and unparalleled merit in and an honorary MBE from the Queen, for her contribution to Paralympic sport. As a retired 13 gold and 2 silver medalist at the Paralympics, she has vowed to become a success in her business career as a social media strategist.

The short answer is that Sirius provides the required features to make this project work.

It has the bitcoin UTXO model for the SIRX coin that can easily be integrated with current BTC payment systems, the ability to run Solidity Smart Contracts in an EVM and the fact that they don't do PoW makes it orders of magnitude faster and cheaper compared to Ethereum.

We also have a very good relationship with the Sirius developers and see them as partners that can walk with us on this journey.

If you release tokens on the Sirius platform, will these tokens be on exchanges? Since Sirius while there is only one exchange.

We do not have a bounty active currently. But please follow us on the Telegram group for the latest on our activities. Although we don't rely on them for distribution, there will most certainly be bounties for PODs in the future.

Yes, we plan to follow Sirius for exchange listings, although we are in talks with different exchanges separately. But since we're on the Sirius platform it will only make sense for any exchange to list Sirius along with any token based on the platform.
