I wonder what the hell there is to advertise other than ICOs, but there you go. 'They' are no longer out to get crytpo. Until next time when they get fucking sick of their users being scammed again by people attempting to sneak in via the back door.

It looks like they're preapproving advertisers but I wonder whether that'll be enough.

I guess they are afraid of ICO's because officials often later treat them as securities, so Facebook doesn't want to risk getting into trouble. After ICO, most common crypto advertisement is probably exchanges and casinos. But after that, there's a lot of scams like cloud mining, malicious wallets, and sadly all these tech giants don't care about hosting malicious ads, because they are never held responsible for them.

Nah. I think it's mainly because almost all of them are worthless shit put together by thieving or clueless scum.

As for the rest, you have to pre apply to Facebook to be considered along with any credentials and regulation you're subject to. That's going to squash most applicants before they can scam.

Facebook is a developed network and reason for this is the people's satisfication from facebook by means of scams and ICO involve many scams like mining scams etc.So the company do not want to get any risk.

Facebook is totally confused. I wonder who they think they are. Fighting Cryptos. A battle they cannot win. Let them continue in their confused state. Very soon, other social media platforms will displace them and welcome or fully integrate cryptocurrencies into their platforms. By then, Facebook will be left weeping.

Mark Zuckerberg and his friends should get a comfortable seat at a quiet corner and go munch their popcorns.  He is also part of the reason Bitcoin took a plunge with that initial ban. I won't be surprised that this recent turnaround has everything to do with his rumoured crypto, Facecoin. He may be providing a soft landing with this change. All the same, it's a good development.

i think thats a good thing to continue to ban ico ads. many of them are scam and it is bad when new people get into the cryptoworld and get cheated on this scam icos.  i find it very good that the normal crypto ads are allowed again.

I support this action on Facebook. because they are looking to protect users from ICO scam projects. So Facebook and Google are forbidden to advertise ICO projects this year

I guess it is a good thing considering that the majority of ICO's are scams these days. It will allow more legitimate Bitcoin companies to float to the surface.

Eventually they will be forced to accept the reality on ground, which is this:cryptocurrency is here to stay. They are allowing adverts now, maybe someday they will launch their own tokens

Good news that they are still not allowing ICO ads but they are allowing bitcoin pre-approved services to be advertise again.
If you are a facebook person, expect that there will be bunch of sponsored ads that will be approved by facebook themselves if these services pass their assessment.

i think thats a good thing to continue to ban ico ads. many of them are scam and it is bad when new people get into the cryptoworld and get cheated on this scam icos.  i find it very good that the normal crypto ads are allowed again.
Yes they are eliminating most of the scam ICOs although some of them are legit but still a good move and I knew it they will change their decision.
