When the price on Gox was dropping, I took it as a sign. Bought Gox-XBT with my Gox-FRNs. Added to my little pile of Gox-XBT in that manner. Cashed out my Gox-XBT for real XBT. My transaction processed immediately. On the 6th. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

Anyone with a campaign ad in their signature -- for an organization with which they are not otherwise affiliated -- is automatically deducted credibility points.

I've been convicted of heresy. Convicted by a mere known extortionist. Read my Trust for details.

Anyone who uses GOX at this point just deserves to be ripped off.  They're the worst exchange ever in the history of Bitcoin.

Yeah I left gox and migrated over to bitstamp for my btc trading around a month ago. Gox was clearly going down.

Tonight I got everything out.
The first 3/4 I got out with some hustlin', being in time when the issues started, and doing a lot of small withdrawals.
The last 1/4 I got out by selling goxbtc to sturles and another guy on IRC.
All in all I lost 3% of my btc at gox due to their problems.

I'm glad GOX is finally on its death bed, time to phase out the old bitcoin exchange and let the honest and reputable exchanges take its place.

Events like this will only make bitcoin stronger then ever, this is the crash before the next bitcoin hike. People sold off, now the buy-back in period is happening.

I expect bitcoin to rise to the mid 900-1200s by the end of feb, beginning of march after all this FUD has washed away.

That is much better off than most, I would guess.  Good job  Smiley

the part i never get is that the majority of tinfoil hatters and fud spreaders (even if true) are always people who have joined within the last few months. every single time shit happens. somehow the newbies are usually the most vocal, as if they suffered through, 2011 etc

ok
