AQWIRE - First Crypto Property Payment in Asia

In our efforts to expand and strengthen the AQWIRE project and to build the first real estate platform through blockchain in Asia, being able to use cryptocurrency to pay for your property payments was an easy way to go. It is the next logical step to the evolution of our system and a critical component to foster usage and adaptation of the platform.

This is a great way to help those involved in this sector to get on the property ladder using their cryptos so I would in the future be really interested in your concept that soon can become a reality. My Wife the other day was saying that one day she would like us to get on the property ladder and using crypto would be a great way to do it once there is a bull market and the whole market condition improves that is. I will be watching this with interest and may join in if I have spare funding.

Yes there are a lot of ICO related Asian payments in the past, but not for buying properties. AQWIRE is the first one in Asia to use cryptocurrency to buy real estate properties. A lot of real estate related ICOs are focusing on tokenizing the properties which in turn classifying their token as securities. On the other hand, AQWIRE is building a platform for the real estate community (property developers, investors, buyers, brokers) wherein you can access the platform tru the use of AQWIRE tokens making the token a utility token not as a security. In the platform, you can review, reserve, and eventually buy properties with the use of cryptocurrency or fiat. It's like an online one stop shop for properties. Making the tokens have a real utility not just a promise.

There must have been a miscommunication here. While it is true that a handful real estate transactions have already been done using Bitcoin, majority of property developers are still averse to partner with crypto payment gateways and accept reservation and monthly payments in form of cryptocurrencies. Those real estate transactions with cryptocurrency involved are mostly, if not all, pre-owned units sold to another buyer. What AQWIRE is building is a marketplace where buyers from anywhere in the world can buy brand new units from any country they wish, with the option of paying using debit/credit card, ACH, or major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin.

Qwikwire, AQWIRE's parent company, has already been processing cross-border payments for property developers. Our partnership with SCI is just a stepping stone for us to begin processing real payments through a crypto payment gateway. We will be launching our MVP this Q3 2018 with property developers from the Philippines on-boarded. In Q4, we will be expanding in Thailand and Vietnam to start on-boarding developers from there as well.

I completely understand your skepticism. I'll try to answer your sentiments in the best way I can.

1. This is true. There are countries out there that have very strict regulations on the usage of cryptocurrencies. But it is also a fact that there are countries who are lenient when it comes to this. The first rule of marketing is you cannot target everybody. You can only create a strategy that targets a specific segment. That is the reason why crypto payment is just ONE of the options buyers can choose from when paying for their properties using AQWIRE. This option is for buyers with the ability to use cryptos for payments.

Qwikwire, AQWIRE parent company, has already been processing cross-border payments for real estate. We process Debit card, Credit card, and even ACH payments. This gave us a leeway to incorporate the AQWIRE platform with Qwikwire so we can accept payments as such through the platform. Our partnership with SCI was a way for us to include crypto payments in our payment options.

With this, buyers will have the freedom to choose from Debit/Credit card, ACH, or Crypto to settle their payment from their property developer, be it for reservation fee, monthly amortization, or association dues.

2. This is a very nice question. Using blockchain to empower AQWIRE is not just for the sake of having a buzzword in our tagline. The reasons why we are betting on the technology are the following:

- Processing documents like translations and legal will be much more efficient through blockchain
- Smart Contracts automates the verification of transactions, thus reducing unnecessary intermediaries
- Efficient and more reliable property search process through blockchain-enabled international listing platform
- It helps with escrow transactions, title registry, and transfers
- Key terms of the sale agreement will be recorded on the blockchain and this becomes the smart contract
- Help with booking and reservations, payment validation, and blockchain KYC.
