Facebook lifts ban on crypto ads

Facebook announced that it will now allow cryptocurrency advertisements. But they place a strict compliance on ads that are allowed

The company says it will allow ads and related content from “pre-approved advisers,” but will still not allow ads promoting binary options and initial coin offerings.

It mentioned that it has to apply first before they can be allowed to advertise. And they have strict limitation on the applications in order to avoid facebook from being used by scam projects.

Yeah I read the new this morning. I guess they have lost a huge profit since banning crypto ads because crypto is going main stream and a lot of money have been spend on the crypto related activities, I see twitter and the likes doing the same too. It's a good news for cryptos and bounty hunters.

well they tried to dictate terms for the crypto community and when that didn't happen they took back steps. I don't think that its good or bad thing, actually facebook don't really matter in crypto world. Cryptos are not dependent on facebook or any other social media platform, instead its the other way around. They need to adapt to the blockchain technology soon else they'll be obsoleted.

it is true,i saw this news a day ago or two if i remember it correctly.
They are indeed lift the ban related to cryptocurrency and put some restriction about it.
on the other hand they are banning an ICOs ads.
which means they're only supporting a legitimate project related to cryptocurrency and banning the project who tries to advertise their project in order to raise the fund.
truth to be told,it's expected because we saw this kind of news many times before.
they're only creating an oppurtunity and a new entry for a new investor,they can not deny the fact that cryptocurrency is our future.

I also see that news, well this is a good sign for crypto economy for 2018. We are getting only bad news since in the past months but now there is one. Hope some good news will follow so crypto market become stable. Less big dump and a lot of investor will invest again in an ICO. I guess volume of successfull ICO is decrease nowadays so hopefully sooner or later crypto will go further

If this is true, then Facebook, i.e Mark Zuckerberg changes his mind on crypto wholelly.

Positive news for bounty hunters and crypto currency users. However, facebook and other social media should be more open with blockchain technology and crypto currency. Hopefully the news can affect the increase in the price of crypto and the market again recovered.

Yes, I also saw it going rounds in crypto related websites so its a very welcoming news specially for those ICO that have difficulty to get their products out there. I think one reason that change Facebook hard line stance is the revenue that they can generate. We all know that crypto ads can get them a lot of money, so why not just accept that fact and try to make some consensus with it. At least they have put up some guidelines so those legitimate projects can now apply and let their project get the needed exposure.

It is a very good development. At least, the conditions place on the adverts that will be made, will help to safeguard against falling victim of scam projects. Also, allowing just the projects that have pre-approved advisors will lessen the stress on the research to be done in order to confirm the authenticity of a project.

The problem is scam in crypto. If the crypto will less fraudulent, then all media resources and internet industry will readily support crypto. But the problem is not solved and it is not clear how to solve it.
