Well, it total based on the strategy of the investors. If anyone want to do long term investment then they can do investment during down trend. It total depends on the investors. It depends on the exchange. And I think the current trend has nothing to do with it. I've seen tons of exchanges appearing recently, and there will be huge competition in the future. Probably not all of these exchanges are going to survive, and therein lies the risk. If the exchange is promising and has a potential to make it, than yes, I would say go for it.

Exchange based coins seems to prosper in both down and up trend. Look at BNB it's rising even in the bloodbath.

If we consider the situation with investing in BNB, then we can say that the situation is very good, despite how bitcoin falls BNB owners do not feel a big fall, because the exchange does a lot for its investors. But this can not be said generalized about all the tokens.

it's good also for short term, if there will be something like voting for listing which require buying exchange coin, coz each coin community will buy as much as they can for winning the vote, then the price will rise.
