I dont think they can totally ban Bitcoin in India, they might limit the use of Bitcoin. There are many global exchange and trading platforms that people can use for Bitcoins and other crypto currencies.

Why do not you search and read the article yourself?

In short, Government is not directly banning bitcoin but it is not allowing the use of Indian rupees to buy bitcoin.
