The popularity and importance of the bitcoin has taken it to a level where no other crypto currency can reach. So there is no competitor of bitcoin which can surpass it.

From my perspective i think ethereum can surprise bitcoin. Because in recent time peoples are investing on this project. Because they feel ethereum is safe for invest. If they maintain their performance they will compete with bitcoin.

I think at the moment, it is only ETH that has the potential to transcend the BTC.
Because ETH has one of the largest communities, ETH has many supporters and many dapps based on ERC20.

From my point of view I think that there is no such cryptocurrency in the entire market that can cross or surpass BTC. Bitcoin is the king of the market and its price range is very high it will need time to create a competitor of BTC in the market.

I would like to say you to think about crypto industry of five years ago. It was almost nothing and not so popular. But now it has been so popular around the world. So I also believe that it will be developed more and more in future and get higher acceptance to people. However, bitcoin is the most popular crypto till now in my views. But some good coins are coming forward to beat bitcoin. They might win but bitcoin always get some first moving advantage.

Well right now, there isn’t a crypto currency who has surpassed bitcoin. There are a lot of coins though who are in competition with it, but haven’t beat it yet. In the future, it is hard to say though. The future is unpredictable, just like the market of crypto currency.

No one could tell it directly to you right now hence Bitcoin might go down or might not because of the different speculation about Bitcoin in this forum. A lot of them believe that it should ETH because it is the second in rank of coinmarketcap but for me it's still need to debate whether Bitcoin or ETH or other altcoins. Whatever they debated in the future, i still chose Bitcoin as the number coins even if it goes second in rank.

Cryptocurency is getting popular day by day. And I believe that a time will come when people in the world will forget about paper money. Since bitcoin is the most popular and the very first crypto, it will always get some first moving advantage. But some altcoins have already joined in the competition to win the race. And I think ETH, EOS, ETC, XRP or ADA is gaining the ability to fight with crypto and may win in the race.

I believe Nem will change everything if you guys read the whitepaper and if you are the developer of some ICO token you would love to agree on this coin. I'm sure their are coins that has big advantage with some advance AI and IOT platform i'm sure in the long run it will surpass bitcoin.
