It is very difficult to calculate the real market cap of Bitcoin. Because a huge number of Bitcoins are "lost", i.e no one is having the private key to spend them. This includes the BTC980,000 stash mined by Satoshi.

I guess there is always the possibility of Satoshi's coins entering the market. If he is still around and has access to his private keys, he may still spend them. Even if he isn't attached to material wealth, there is the possibility of him transferring the coins to a Bitcoin Foundation or some charity.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Something tells me that the whales are too wise to do that Smiley  for me it is a great sign that bitcoin is still alive, that they keeping their funds in Bitcoin, because if bitcoin would be dead, I think they would be the first to withdraw the money.

I think whales will never give up on this market and they think that if they sell Bitcoin and exchange fiat currency, then the crypto market will probably collapse as soon as the whale does it. They only sell Bitcoin when they no longer want to make money with this market

jes the marketcap and the social support could indeed be illusionary and faked.

people stil think its trustworthy and reliable however,

most traders dont use coinmarketcap anymore btw.
yes its true there is a lot local exchange that not listed on coinmarketcap. So we dont know exactly the capital but for sure marketcap do help us to watch the price and all altcoins. So i believe coinmarketcap still can be trusted.

i think whales are invest in crypto for long term and they would not just turn all of their money into fiat like that and i do think if they do it big market crash will happen again.

May. Whales can affect everyone in the world of digital money investing, but playing the role of the main owner or controlling the black market, I think that's a mistake, that's why. you are not afraid,
Because whales do nothing to make electronic money turn into fiat, so you have received the wrong kind of news.
Consider the good news not to lose the opportunity as well as money.

Lol, you scared of something so illusionary and far from being a reality. Whales has nothing to do with the market cap of Bitcoin and so as the tether. All that's Bitcoin has achieved is due to the people patronizing it and not the whales.

Lol he doesn't mean fake like that...i mean the calculations are extremely perfect. But the marketcap can't give perfect precision about liquidity unless it's added (not volume)

lemme give an instance. If I make coin of 10M total supply, if only 1000 of the coin is mined and sold on a market for 100$ that is 1 token 0.1$. If such coin is added on coinmarket it will have a total volume of $1M mean while only 1000 is in circulation.

CAN WE SAY THE MARKETCAP OF BITCOIN IS FALSE??

Tether print as much money people gave them.

I dont see a reason why any whale would convert their bitcoins to fiat at this point if they could exchange at double price not so long ago.

Yes the marketplace is false because 20% of Bitcoin s is lost so Bitcoins marketcap is 20% smaller.

Really?  Wow. Thanks. My questions been over answered
[/quote

Wow, Why do you think that Bitcoin Market cap is False?  You have no supporting data presented, on the thread, your statement is different? i am confuse... Market is Volatile, anything can happen at any given time, Whales can simply manipulate the crypto market, it has some effects on their investment, they may loss or gain profits? Bitcoin is still stable even with the ups and down of its price value on the market. there is a lot of indicators that affect the market of Crypto.

No, I think that the market cap of bitcoin is real. Many exchange are controlling the amount of btc. The market situation is very transparent and you could track the every transactions that are made.
I also think that the market capitalization of the entire cryptocurrency market is growing steadily over time and that has shown the trend of this market. Cryptocurrency is gaining a lot of investor attention so I believe that this development is inevitable in the present.

We can say that. We cannot rely on the market cap we see online as they also based it on different cryptocurrency exchanges not to mention that some of the  also provide false data such as volume and price to mislead the public. If we only have a regulated and well monitored market that is when we can see rhat the prices are true to its real value. If you look at BTC's market cap right now you will see different values that vary from site to site.
