I am looking to purchase some AUD in Adelaide next week for BTC. I will take pretty much all the AUD you care to offer for a fair exchange rate. I would like at least $1000 AUD or more but I will certainly take smaller amounts if that's all you have.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

You can do this by making yourself the biller at http://paybills.spendbitcoins.com if you're happy with that exchange rate.

I wish I thought of this before. I will be traveling to Adelaide (oh my old Uni days...) During the month of November. Anyone wanting to spell btc for AUD or USD during that time, let me know and I will setup a meet n buy days for SA.

I travel there often, I do not have an Australian bank account (though I am considering opening one this trip).

I'd really prefer to deal in cash but the other two options you mentioned aren't out of the question.

What we have found is that the other two options are quite expensive up to around $15 plus in fees alone, not sure if you want to pay that much?

Well, given the fees the money exchangers cost when I get in country it's probably a better deal anyway.  I assume you wouldn't have a problem handling 200 - 300 BTC exchange?  I'd be willing to pay $15 in fees for a WU.
