The British company 50Cycles introduced the world's first electric bike with built-in mining function called "Toba".
A reward of £20 ($26.5) will be paid per 1,000 miles (1,609 kilometers) in LoyalCoin tokens (LYL), but in the future the platform will have their own tokens. However, "miners" in the e-bike scheme will need to put in the effort to reap the potential rewards, as the cheapest Toba product will cost £1695 ($2250).
The owners of the bicycle will be able to observe the mining process via a program installed on the smartphone, and private keys will be stored in the special device on the vehicle itself.
"We have always been a company that moves ahead of the times by embracing the latest technology. Just like we saw the potential in electric bikes in Tokyo 15 years ago, we now see the promise and future in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and product tokenization", - Scott Snaith, the company’s CEO said.
So, Toba is probably the first "green" and useful for health way in mining cryptocurrency.
sourceBy the way, there's also another way to keep fit while mining crypto -
a mat to mine cryptocurrency by dancing. Unfortunately, these are the only 2 projects I've heard about where you can earn tokens doing sports. What about other eco-friendly mining solutions, there're already a lot of such ideas or projects (at least, under development).
