Mtgox annunced yesterday that all bitcoin withdrawals are temporarily stopped due to technical problems, and immediately btc price drops
https://www.mtgox.com/press_release_20140207.html

Probably the BTC market needs more "BTC / fiat" exchangers, so to avoid similar problems in the future

The sad thing is that some people will still use MtGox after this problem is fixed.

It is incredible. Just a single exchange operator, decides to stop withdrawals for few days, for "discutible" technical reasons, and the market reachs in this way: -20% price.

Probably all we use btc have to start thinking btc has an "intrinsic value", not related to fiat money... We have to think in this way, just to give to btc the power it really has

reading on web site of bitcoin foundation, it seems that all mayor btc/usd exchangers have stopped btc withdrawals, due to a bug. So I suggest you just to wait, until the fix will be released.

Try again to make small eur withdrawals, not more then 400 eur to see if they send you money quicly

hmmmm ... at mtgox still nothing, now the withdrawal system of mtgox says - "Transfer queue is currently not accepting more requests, please retry later" ... so the error message is different than it has been before weekend, but that´s all folks, still impossible to get BTC out of their system :/ ... but bitstamp and btc-e are again up and running, can someone confirm? I have no BTC there right now.

They´re realy kidding Sad ... 62-61-73-74-61-72-64-73

Dear MtGox Customers,"
"
Thank you for your patience this week while we are working on re-initiating bitcoin
withdrawals. In addition to the technical issue, this week we have experienced some
security problems, and as a result we had to relocate MtGox to our previous office building
in Shibuya (details can be found here https://support.mtgox.com/home). The move,
combined with some other security and technical challenges, pushed back our progress."
"
As much as we didn’t want to only provide an “update on an update”, this is the current
status. We are committed to solving this issue and will provide more information as soon
as possible to keep everyone in the loop."

my bank waited to the last minute to get the tax documents out. They were here on Feb.1. Figure workers getting a refund will file pretty quickly, say by Feb. 7. IRS gets 9 out of 10 refunds out in 21 days or less. So, refunds will start getting spent the first week in March. Unless MtGox is in real trouble, they should be trading by then.
