Hello. I like the idea of bitcoin, and so I want to implement it in Magento store.
I have installed the bitcoin payment method and everything; except for it asks for my bitcoind username and password.

Where do I find my bitcoind username and password?, or how do I create it?

Also I am a bit concerned when it comes to using bitcoin, aside from the security risk of getting hacked, etc (I'll be sure to try to do everything that is needed) I need to often buy new inventory; so this means I need to convert bitcoin into USD in fairly large amounts (say, $500 to $2000+?) at a time - what is the best way to do this? What is the best way to convert bitcoin into USD dollars?

Also if you can give me any tips on anything else, such as security/encrypting wallets, etc it would be greatly appreciated. I normally UTFSE on this sort of thing, but I am exhausted from doing everything else I do with my store, in addition to a few other websites (forums) and I've really appreciate pointers right now more than anything. I am very new to bitcoin, and I am probably trying to implement it on a fairly advanced level. (eh, maybe not advanced)

Anyways, thanks for reading, looking forward to seeing some responses!
 Cheesy

You set the username and password in bitcoin.conf, see here:

Thank you very much. Smiley
So if i have installed the bitcoin Magento plugin, I assume I also need to have the bitcoin running on the server along side it, correct?
It than connects to it, and all of the money is stored on the server?

Is it possible (or better?) to have it do this on another server instead, or will it work if i keep the wallet on my computer?

You can set up cron job on server to move all your coins to secure wallet every X minutes.

Ok, so it has to be on the same server at first, but that can be transferred via cron automatically?

And to properly install it on the server I just do this stuff? https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/API_reference_(JSON-RPC) and maybe some of this stuff? http://json-rpc.org/wiki/specification
